I have 2 one 94 the other 01. Both have over 550,000 miles. The 01 burns oil and leaks coolant from time to time but still daily driver. The 94 still runs as strong as the day I got it. No mods on either one.Jul 05, 2022

A well maintained F-250 with a Diesel is easily a 500K mile truck. Even the 5.4 gas youll get 300K from and the truck are built TOUGH.

This particular model is well desired for its powerhouse Diesel 7.3L V8 engine and its overall design as a truck, weather 250 or 350 DRW. Dec 28, 2020

I have this model with 7.3 has 395,000 miles on it at 300,000 had to have transmission rebuilt $1,500. And had to rebuild the front end but Ive had very few isues with this truck. Its a tough truck would pull a mobile home off its axels Dec 19, 2020

Car has numerous problems not intended to be addressed by the dealership. We drove 4 hrs to find the mileage was 133000 or records from Carfax, and not the 124000 listed on the despcription and the odometer. ?????. The Overdrive did not work and the odometer arm was missing parts. The ignition was missing the cover. The front drivers seat panel was missing and the metals were all rusted. The front seats were torn leather and exposed foams....and the intent was to cover with nice cloth carseats. There were lots of scratches and a dent or two. Paint chipped off right rear from a real collision also not mentioned. The auto door locks did not work by door controller, keyfob or manual....but you had to use a key to work them. The auto mirror controllers also did not work. Sigh....this was becoming a real vehicle of problems.....sadly none of them listes on the dealer inspection sheets. All we were informed of during many phone calls were the seats which were to be covered and a new bedliner.
So this is a vehicle with the awesome 7.3l motor, and a lot of handy mechanic special needs. At 13900 it isnt worth it having no idea how many miles are really on this vehicle. At 6000, you could afford to fix it for the motor. Did I say there was corrosion under the hood? Too many things to remember.

Have owned several super duties over the years this is a quiet running, good handling, great visibility all around, handles on and off road with ease, add a few sand bags in the bed for extra weight during winter months greatly increases traction in snow.May 22, 2015

Starts and runs in below zero temps without a block heater, reliable, great power and very comfortable to take long trips. Even kids in car seats can see out of the windows and towing 10k does not phase the power or ride.Feb 15, 2015

Ford tech replaced the cam sensor with to long of a bolt. Took me 4 weeks and $300 to figure out! Only had to replace the fuel pump after one hundred forty thousand miles Tires lasted eight years and 40,000 miles.Oct 26, 2014

The Beast and I have traveled extensively throughout the Continental US. The look has always appealed to me and the barbed wire pin striping just goes with my personality as well. My son wants me to trade him for his 2006 Mustang GT. What do you think?Aug 15, 2014

After nearly 14 years, this F250 Superduty with 182,000 miles is running as smoothly as the day I picked it up. Hard to believe? Of course it is; but it's true. It's why I've enjoyed this truck more than any other vehicle I've ever owned. The powertrain has held up like a tank. The V10 makes this 4+ ton vehicle move like a sports car. Not a peep of trouble from the transmission. The exhaust system was replaced just once in all that time, at ~100K miles. Brakes last forever, or 60K miles, which ever comes first. A truly built Ford tough truck! I am still impressed. Been from Detroit to Denver and Sault Ste. Marie to Santa Fe, and it's been a pleasure to drive. Whether it's pulling the scout trailer through the Rockies, or the open plains of Oklahoma it's been a smooth and comfortable ride. The back seat of this crew cab is like a living room, spacious and comfortable. We have a tendency to treat vehicles we like as personal companions. When the day comes, I'm going to miss this one.Jun 03, 2014

this truck has ran and drove perfectly since the day I bought it and has never faled me, it can tow just about anything you put behind it without a single lag in power gas mileage isn't the best but you have to sometimes sacrifice mileage for powerFeb 09, 2014

This is a great truck with an incredible powertrain. She is getting older and longer in the tooth. But, she still runs great. It will be a sad day when I finally replace her with something a little more economical for the family.Sep 28, 2012

Accelaration, braking and handling are great even after 12 years.
Had to replace a water pump and a few things here and there. Only real complaint is the turning radius and driver side power window is giving me grief. Truck still looks great inside and out. Maintenance on any diesel engine is pricey but it's well worth it. For how big the truck is it gets pretty good gas mileage; about 16 miles per gallon on the highway. I wouldn't trade this truck in for anything besides maybe a 2012 Super Duty.Apr 13, 2012

i love the fact that the truck is paid off. i hate the fact that now im investing the payment into the repairs of an older vehicle. another nice thing is that i JUST replaced the original brakes after 112000 milesApr 20, 2011

the truck is dependable as anything i have come across it pulls well stock and pulls great with programmer and intake exhaust. The truck has had 2 rebuilt trans.I think these superduty trucks are sharp looking and interior is great due too the lariet fuel mileage is good 23 hiway towing 17mpg diesels are more money to maintain but I think they are worth it and at stop lights these 7.3 dsi turn on and can leave street cars sitting.Apr 11, 2011

the 7.3 turbo diesel gets this 8000 pound truck moving pretty well with the 85 horse B D Diesel performance chip. With the new lights on it, heads turn. This truck is a blast to drive and when you are in it, you know you are driving a TRUCK!Sep 06, 2010

Very reliable truck. Will pull or do anything you give to it. I have a V-10 and it is awesome. I love the truck and am very happy with everything about it. The style is awesome and still tough. Ford's trucks are the most reliable trucks you can find and you'll be happy with any Ford truck.Jan 11, 2010

has a V-10, gets about 12 miles/gallon, nice interior and exterior. has great brakes, its not very hard on maitenance, tires for it aren't the most expensive.. but aren't too cheep. its a blast to drive unless you get into tight places.. then you're in trouble. its a beastOct 08, 2009

Like having a 3 quarter ton 4 wheel drive Corvette! Cornered flat, and all go!!
Better fuel mileage than the V8.
a ton of power for towing and just flat out acceleration. Much better handling than the diesel due to the lighter overall weight.Sep 13, 2009

sounds great with dual exhaust gets, good mpg even with bigger tires, has plenty of power, and lugs like hell. Repairs are cheap and has a great trade in value. Awesome to drive especially when you get those pipes a growlin.Jun 23, 2009

This is the lightest super duty you can get so when you throw the powerstroke into it power to weight is great. Didn't handle extreamly well but it was a stock truck. Witha little work this would be a great drag truck.Mar 14, 2009

my pick-up is amazing. i can go anywhere tow anything and haul ass doing it. its a super huge up gradde from the dodge monster leaking oil and drinking gas like it was cheap beer. All i can say is this truck is bad ass with the 5 inch exhaust and cold air intake. ok now i have my 50 words.Nov 28, 2008

Well to start off, the truck is a V10 with a 5 speed!!! Tons of power, the funnest truck I have ever owned. For gas mileage it isn't to bad at all, but if you drive it hard the gas gauge moves!!!!! This truck is the craziest truck i have ever drove, it is so much fun and the V10 sounds amazing. :D This truck is very well built it can take abuse and keep on trucking.Jul 13, 2008

I really liked this truck, but it was pretty difficult to use in town. I almost always got 19mpg which is great for this type of vehicle. The interior space was enormous ( I loved that). I pullled a lot of heavy loads without issue.Mar 07, 2008

Great engine, but it lacks speed. Its really meant for pulling, not flat out speed. The transmission is way too weak, but it's good for driving around town.Dec 27, 2007
