Motor is very reliable. Looks great with a lift and mud tires. Very good truck offroad. Handles pretty nicely. Has to be a standard and the motor and tranny will last longer than the front end. Overall if you want a nice looking truck with not a lot of power and you don't care about the fuel mileage then this is the vehicle for you.Mar 24, 2015

Motor is very reliable. Looks great with a lift and mud tires. Very good truck offroad. Handles pretty nicely. Has to be a standard and the motor and tranny will last longer than the front end. It's slow and a huge gas hog. Ok at towing if the transmission actually makes it
off the dealer lot. Not a huge fan of 2wd trucks but it's decent, doesn't have an

very sturdy has its shakes and squells, but for a 2000 with 155,000 i can live with it. havent found something it cant pull. i used to mud it so things broke in the past. recently i just been goin through battery terminals. great on power horse power and torque. factory syling was before its time but still looks good other than body damage. it gets about 12 mpg's and its the funnest thing to drive. this thing is only good if u like wasting gas and wasting money just to keep it running even. the dash has blown up and it leaks antifreeze like a drippy faucet and trans isslipping. it only has 112000 miles on itAug 23, 2010

This Truck has lots and lots of power. I Have never toped this truck i have had it 120 plus... The disadvantages about this Truck is that it likes to suck the gas. I put 75 Dollars in gas and i can go to Lonoke and back and us half a tank of gas. Aug 03, 2010

quick acceleration, handles nice, needed a lot of repairs: ball joints, alternator, radiator hose, muffler, universal joints, and springs. Interior is nice, low mileage (60,000). fair on gas mileage no rust, painted the entire undercarriage with used motor oil to prevent rust. May 23, 2010

the truck has power and then some i went with the 5.9 so i suffer gas milage at the expense of pulling power . it has a really smooth transmission and ride as well the accoustics are awesome and the extra doors in the back r helpfullDec 11, 2009

Bought this truck in September 2006 just because it was perfect for my job. No frills, no thrills, no performance. The 3.9 litre V6 was gutless, the 4-speed auto was frail, the ride was much worse than I think a truck should have. But to just look at it, I made the right choice. I had it 5 months when I fell asleep driving home from work and the truck was no more.Oct 31, 2009

Fuel economy takes a hit being that it's a 5.2L, but even for that engine, after some basic mods, the mileage isn't too bad. Very powerful, 4x4 will get you out of anywhere, handling is sturdy and takes bumps and holes no problem. Definitely recommend this truck to other Dodge lovers, the "older" styles are the more solid built of the Dodge's.Aug 21, 2009

edelbrock air intake, flowmaster 40 series exhaust, 2 side by side electric fans, lots of excess weight taken out, exterior colour: red with lime green and outlined in refleted black cow- skull and cross-bones on the sides, And thor the destoryer on the tale-gate in lime green and black. Also has 2 green and 2 blue LEDs lights on the outside bottom othe the truck. The inside has some small parts painted red, flame seat covers, the fast and the furious floor mats, two 1000 watts alpine amps and two 1200 watt 10" sony explod subwoofers. Has a dodge steering-wheel cover. Great for drifting in the snow. Maintenance are done every 6 month. Gas mileage is good. also acceleration is good if shifted manually, it is automatic though.Jul 31, 2009

not fast enough, has too many scratches, wish it was black with black interior. Fun to drive cuz its loud and cars may get scared. And its 4x4 so its good in winter. its a badazz truck. Had a few problems with it though. I've
owned it for 3 years and have put 12K miles on it. I have so
far replaced...3 rear U-joints, brakes and rotors, 2 O2
sensors, brake lines, 4 tires, ECM. and other regular maint.
stuff. Truck drives fabulous but is a money pit. Is my first
chyrsler product and most likely my last. Overall the truck will

I loved this truck it had the 5.9 liter great power. It looked sharp the ride was nice not to rough. It was a dodge so there was always something to fix but all in all not to bad. The truck was extremally fun to drive and it was comfortable.Jul 31, 2008

this truck was outstanding till I came up on 100k miles. Well, the dash cracked at like 40k but so did all of them. I hit 100k and the ECM fried on me and took the alternator and engine harness with it. so $2400 later and about 4 months the ECM burns up again. I got it replaced for free this time. Then a few months after that the rear diff decides its gonna eat itself on my way back from Amarillo. By the time I got the rear cover off there really was no teeth on the ring gear and the pinion was a nub. Huge chunks of metal came out. That cost me around 1300 to replace since I needed to get a whole new unit. Acording to Dodge, around 15% of the ECMs that they used for all of there vehicles in the mid to late 90s and up to 2001 had problems burning up and as for the rear end, it was a bad bearing that they knew was made incorrectlly but lasted longer than the 36k miles thus relieving them of the warrenty issue and having to fit the bill to fix. The contract with that bearing manufacturer ended in 2001 and so late model 2002 trucks have the newly designed bearing in the rear end.Mar 24, 2008
