Strong Performer — With a Banks Stinger Plus kit, pulling 24,000 lbs, set the cruse at 65 and relax. Without the Banks kit, race down hill and struggle uphill. With a 410 gear, it will pull anything but you may only get 5-8 MPG Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: Very stable and easy to drive when towing. Cons: Transmission cooler is too small. Fluid does not flow through the radiator ![]() Looking for a Used F-350 Super Duty in your area?CarGurus has 13,875 nationwide F-350 Super Duty listings starting at $3,995. |

Ood Truck — did the job and then some. I ordered it new to my specs and it has performed like a good friend for the past fourteen to fifteen years. I no longer had a need of such a work horse so I decided to find something a bit smaller. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: great work truck Cons: diesel a little noisy |

1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty 7.3l 4x4 Drw — Absolutely the best work truck or towing vehicle anyone can own. I have nothing but praise for Ford motor company. The BEST truck I have ever purchased. If only Ford would marry up with Allison to have bullet-proof transmissions, it would be the ultimate!!! Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: Power, comfort and a zillion options let you custom fit this truck to your exact needs Cons: Can't even pretend to fit in those "compact only" parking spaces. |

The Beast! — Awesome truck but a little much for just me now. My folks were living with me at one time and this truck made sense but now I am ready for something smaller. It awesome for traveling and camping and such. Everything fits in it! Period. I usually even carry other people's things when we go on family trips. The bed cover is great and locks. If it starts raining I don't have to pull over. To put things inside. I have really enjoyed it. And I don't have enough time to write about the power this thing has or how reliable it is but it's a real gem! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Power, utility. Cons: Hard to park. |

Ford Diesels.......excellent — Very reliable truck at a fair price (1999) Always started when I needed it to. I wouldn't even think about a Chevy, GMC or a Dodge for my next truck. Only problem is that a new ford costs over 40K.... Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Excellent No Problem Work truck that never let me down Cons: Fuel costs |

Wish I Still Had It — I really liked the truck. It was awesome to drive with tons of diesel power!great visibilty riding up high. I wish the fuel hadnt gotten so expensive! It was very fun to drive, and I will say I would have felt sorry for anyone getting into an accident with me. The massive leafspring suspension front and rear was like a giant tonka truck. A true BEAST Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: the power Cons: filling a 40 gallon fuel tank at over 5 bucks a gallon. |

F350 Dually — 7.3 turbo diesel auto works great, for a Big truck it drives very well and good fuel economy for what it is. Can full anything you can hook behind it, even chevs. Tons of interior room and the leather is so comfy. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: It's as big and nasty as it gets Cons: expensive to buy |

Not Very Practical As A Daily Commuter But A Great Family Or Crew Hauler And One Tough Pick-up! — Monsterous appetite for fuel but dead reliable and can haul 6 adults in relative comfort. 8" box is more than adequete for work or play. Bare bones versions are extremely afordable and make a good alternative to a pedestrian mini-van when it comes to hauling the family around. Handles better than you would expect a 10000 lb vehicle to handle and the 6.0 diesel version is certanly more than enough to handle any towing chores. While the 7.3 (99 to 03) versions promise greater reliability, the earth moving torque and power from the 6.0 is unequalled by even the optional 6.8l v-10 gasoline version. The 5.4l gas engine is adequete for most hauling tasks but falls short on power when it comes to towing.Brakes are barely adequete on all models. Build quality is very good for an American pickup truck and actually seems to have gotten a little worse with each new model year. Styling has been tweaked over the years to reflect new styling trends and brand unity but the overall shape remains relatively the same since the Superduty was released in 1999. Interior of base models is spartan but higher end models boast luxury and amenities that rival some luxury sedans. Heated, power leather seats, power rear slider, sunroof, heated mirrors almost any option you can think of is available on Ford Superduty. Harley Davidson and King Ranch models released 2003 boasted unique interiors and styling cues to an already abundant trim level line up. Millions of them on the road assure ecellent aftermarket replacement parts and accessorries for years to come. Make no mistake, this is not a car with a truck body on it. It does everything that you expect a truck to do including standing up to the most extreme uses. This truck is a mainstay in the oil exploration industry, law enforcement and military because it is a product of what Ford knows best, a solid reliable truck that is built tough. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Interior space galore! Haul 6 adults and all thier junk comfortably. Among one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. in Cons: Impossible to park in dense urban settings and very hard on fuel. Turning radius of a jumbo jet and the 5.4 gas version is a bit underpowered for any large towing chores. |
