1999 Dodge Dakota 2wd Reg Cab — This truck is great, it hauls everthing I need. The V-6 has enough power to pull a 12' trailer with 3500 lbs on it. Drive this truck every day, and has never let me down. This is the best mid-size truck and I'm a Ford man.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Love the truck, every day driver.

Cons: not quite enough cab space behind the front seats

A Lot Of Power For A Little Truck — Overall rating a four star. It has the power to do what you need and will get you where your going but doesn't get very good gas mileage. It has newer tires and four wheel drive works good. It is a comfortable and roomy ride

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Comfortable ride. Reliable. Powerful

    Cons: Gas mileage

Strong, Safe, Fun — Nice body shape, aside from oxidized paint. Comfortable seats, easy to get in and out of. No blind spots with full back window, easy to park. Parts affordable and labor cheap. Uphill drives dragged, but otherwise good acceleration and handling. SUPER cold AC.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Safe, strong engine, hauling power, drive over anything

Cons: small cab for one passenger only, not the best on gas especially when hauling or uphill

Love This Dodge! — This car was purchased to be a winter vehicle (4x4) and a vehicle to run errands with (firewood, trips to the hardware store, going fishing, etc). It has performed wonderfully at its job. It was also proved handy when moving large furniture!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Great Truck. Love the exterior styling. Has handled huge blizzards with ease!

    Cons: None

Awesome Truck — great truck for hauling or back roads even though its only a 2wd V6 goes places ive seen 4x4 get stuck in great power and a sure-grip rear end which can sure lay down the rubber but looking for a 383 engine and a 727 manual transmission so i can really have fun

    Pros: everything

    Cons: nonthing

Not A Bad Average Truck — its a nice truck with backseats, a must for those with more than 2 people in their family, decent bed size for cargo and such, not too horrible on gas and they dont look all that bad either in my opinion

    Pros: truck with backseats

    Cons: small backseats, small engine

Great Truck, Not For Everyone — Its a great truck, but its not for everybody. Some parts wear out quickly, such as ball joints. The truck itself is pretty reliable and has some good power. However, some have had reliability issues with the transmission, I for one have never, and it seems kind of rare to me.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: power and comfort

    Cons: fast wearing parts

The Truck Goldilocks Would Drive — 318v8,dual pipes,4x4. the build quality has been excellent.there is no rust on the truck the paint is glossy, the interior is perfect (save for dirt from boots) cost to operate is better than expected, and a relatively nimble, very powerful truck

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: need full-size power but not a full-size truck

    Cons: none

If You Get A Dakota Rt Donnot Destroy It Love It — I love my little RT that could!!! lol.... The stock build is awsome but after puttin and m1 mopar intake manifold, 53mm throttle body and a SCT tune from Hemifever.com thanks to sean powell it is even more responsive. Parts are alittle expensive but quality is what u pay for.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: acceleration

    Cons: mileage
