Handles superbly and not too refined compared to newer sports cars. Build quality is typical of the 90s, so dont expect the interior trim to hold up without some care. Has just enough power to get by, but dont expect to keep up with many newer cars in the straights.
    Looks/Style Ranked 2003 BMW M3 better.
"Looks like a new car, much less dated in appearance."
Front Seats Ranked 2003 BMW M3 worse.
"More ergonomic for a tall driver. Also they are configure for a good driving position. Though if you opt for the manual seats they can be tricky to set up until you get used to the controls."

M\\\power Top Down Fun — I cant say anything bad about this car, its been great. Parts have been very afordable, easy to get. The convertible makes it that much better for me. The next lucky owner will not be disappointed with this beauty. Deserves to be considered one of the best M3's of all time.

Pros: Parts are inexpensive considering it is a BMW. Plenty of Power, smooth delivery. Handles beautifuly. Get many thumbs up. Convertible makes driving experience all the funner

Cons: N/A I love this car. Its sporty but practical at the same time.

Good Fun Car For The Price — Stock the e36 m3 makes a great cheap daily driver / track car. Not as aggressively styled as the 1st or 3rd gen but it gets the job done! The s50 / s52 motor is one of the more forgiving BMW motors to maintain stock.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Supercharger makes the motor come alive.

Cons: Maintenance / Reliability decline proportionately as well.

Superb Performance, Beautiful Exhaust Note, Great Looks. — The Dinan badge on this 1999 BMW M Roadster is for real and professional upgrade costs were about $10,000.00. With that in mind this car is by no means overpriced. All technical upgrade work done on this car was of the highest quality.

Pros: Dinan enhanced performance.  Exciting to drive.

Cons: Nothing sucks about this car.

A Great Ride And Value Even Good Mpg — Quick, great brakes, awesome handling. good mpg, lighter than newer e46. E36 even bests e46 in lap times the first couple e46 years despite E36 giving up 93hp.and getting 5mpg over e46. Thats BMW Awesomeness in the e36 before the bigger better trend. The greatness of a 3 series BMW with the power you always wanted - and yeah it is what you always wanted.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: For a convertible it has excellent cu.ft. just odd shaped, dependable, sporty convertible,
No squeaks and rattles - great build quality, Finding an independent BMW Mechanic

Cons: BMW Dealer, no back support

Wats A Review Title? — Best car I've driven so far, and the best car any one can drive. I would sell my legs, arms, liver to keep this car, and there are a lot of people that would do the same. ///M3=wolf in wolfs clothing.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Nothing

Uncompromising Performance — Handling that exceeds cars 10x the price, FUN and addictive to drive. Repairs are costly and frequent, but that goes the same with ANY heavily modified vehicle... Absolute blast to drive and scare the hell out of your friends when you get the chance!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Makes you a much better driver than you actually are

    Cons: Gotta pay to play

Still Love It The Bmw 2dr Std Convertible. — Pure top down, wind in your face, diving pleasure. There are other convertibles that offer more in the way of raw performance, but none that just work so perfectly together -- it's much more than the sum of its parts. And you can drive the daylights out of the 1.9 liter motor without losing your license. Perfect handling, neutral to power-on oversteer. One of the best looking cars of the past 30 years. Top goes up or down in seconds -- with no complicated power mechanisms.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Anyone would love it..

Cons: I can't see one apart from Mileage!!!

Awesome Car Even Though Its Old It Is As Good As A Modern Car I Would Get It But Milage Is To Much — beautiful car, loved the suspension and breaking i dont want to get to specific but it had around a 330 bhp engine V6. Ownership not very sure, but sells pretty good on market it keeps a good value through the years.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: acceleration is fun, and hp is from 10 years ago but comparable to modern cars

Cons: BMW makes u pay to much for maintinence, cantfind one with good milage
