Reliability — Goes anywhere with no trouble -- super reliable! Has full time 4X4, so it takes a lot of fuel. We have enjoyed it for around town commuting and cross country adventures. Large capacity means everyone can go along on the trip.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Lots of storage and seating.
Good 4X4, but we dont use that much.
Extremely reliable.

Cons: Gas mileage is 16 mpg.
Interior plastic parts are starting to separate.

The Ultimate Suv — Summed up in the pro's and con's. We liked it so much that we kept it for 13 years and put 168K miles on it. We debated if we should keep driving it or get a new(used) one. We found a 2006 with low miles and figure we'll have that for another 150+K miles.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Powerful V8, super reliable, total quality, lots of room for dog, kids, camping, skiing, etc.  Solid, safe car.  3rd row seats come out (not true on 2008+ years)!

Cons: gas mileage

Love Having Fun — My Truck is awesome at what it is designed for and I use it for you can see me nearly any day cursing with a rack of bikes, stack of kayaks, bundle of skis or a combo of them always gets me and my mates where we need to get to. Not the best on gas mileage but its worth the trade-off. Handles like a big truck should breaks like a bus but when off road performs at it's best and haven't found a match for it. Here in NZ this is a big truck. but compared to places like the US it ain't that big but thats all good one day I will have one of those big trucks.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Goes where i need it to

Cons: doesn'tfit in garrages

Buy It. — The acceleration is great. It climbs up hills and mountains very well. The exterior is somewhat good. The interior is great...its leather. Gas mileage is bad. It's about 13 miles per gallon. The car is fun to drive since it is very smooth.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nice ride.  Very comfortable and smooth.

Cons: You have to push a little harder on the brakes to stop...its an older car.

So Much Better Than My Sister's Van!! — the 1998 land cruiser i bought new 11 years ago has been one of my best purchases. i now have logged over 160,000 thousand miles, and have only had it in the shop once for a new starter (at 155,000 miles). someone told me once that the engine in this year of LC is the best toyota has ever made...i believe it!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: so reliable

Cons: seriously can't think of any.

Yummy But Ugly — It was one out of the 18 cars Toyota prepared for the Paris-Dakar raid. Bought it second hand, obviously, and it was superb!

Pros: 3.5l turbocharged

Cons: Impossible to drive without some real driving experience
