Get Something American, Or Volkswagon — dislike: IT'S FOREIGN, too many repairs needed after 100,000 miles, the alternator craps out, not to mention the rest of the electrical system, bottom line: do not get this car, save your money for something that does not stall everytime you go to shift

Pros: it goes pretty fast

Cons: electrical system craps out after 100,000 miles

Vroom — Performance - engine. lost compression on two cylinders.overall its very well off for a stock car. build Quality - the frame of the car is very sturdy. appearance - nice lines smooth curves. cost of ownership - Not much 300$ used. fun factor - with a working engine, this car rocks. its low center of gravity makes it feel like your moving twice as fast.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Vroom

Cons: n/a

1997 Mirage -- Offroad Machine! — This car was by far the most fun car to take out to the dirt trails and slide around corners yanking on the e-brake. This car has been stuck on dirt roads and in front lawns more times than I can count. If only they had the '97 EVO here in the states that probably wouldn't have happened. The car saw 115mph a couple of times. Mind you it took about 3 minutes to get to that speed. Learned how to "chirp" from first to second by accelerating and letting off the gas and tapping it. Probably just because I had a horrible transmission. I practically destroyed this car, yet I never had any major problems other than having to replace a belt because it started squeaking and the AC stopped working shortly after buying the car at 120,000 miles.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: gas mileage, handling

Cons: acceleration

Very Good Quality Car! Always Runs!!! = ) — my car looks nice and all. most people think its newer by the style-similar to a honda civic. the body material isn't very good. handle sticks up on drivers door so door swings open sometimes. gage may have a short b/c sometimes u'll drive and not know how fast your going. also i scratched a vehicle with my car and left mine with a good size dent, that can be bend back by hand. good news is, overall its always runs. my gas filter when i got it was shriveled-up but ran like great-remarkably. gets very good mileage and oil goes pretty far too. with the rust and all under-its runs great. also Ive left the light on in it overnight and still ran the next day.... so overall the car is a good investment in the long run-only if u know standard!! = )

Best Car I Have Owned Yet! — My car is light and handles well but lacks any real power. It has a single cam 1.8L. Breaks well in corners and straights. My car Lacks a rear sway bar, for now. It has been a great car. If you get one replace the rod bearings with tri-metal bearings. My car is now 14 years old and after racing it for 5 years it need new motor mounts, rod ends, and suspension bushings, that's it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: really reliable and quick.

Cons: No dual overhead cam
