Fun — This truck has been great. I have had it nearly 20 years now and only use it in the summer. It is becoming a bit of a collectors item as the rest on this generation of trucks is wearing out.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great looking fun truck

Cons: none

Eh, Its Ok — Dont like how much it costs me to drive it. Goes through brakes like crazy. After I hit 150k miles it started to cost more than my payment every month. I would not recommend anyone buy a Chevy truck from the late 90`s.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Carries my kids

Cons: Costs me a lot in repairs.

If You Need A Pickup, Buy A Chevy. — This truck has great power and is good for hauling. I sometimes haul project cars and have taken friends race cars to the track in the past and this is the perfect truck for me. It accelerates quickly, handles great, and stops pretty quick too. The only thing I would complain about is that the rocker panels and cab corners tend to rust out on these trucks. The gas mileage is alright for a truck, about 16 mpg. It is a lot of fun to drive and I would highly recommend this truck to anyone looking for a good reliable pickup.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's fast, fun to drive, and it can pull anything I need to.

Cons: Although it seats three, if someone sits in the middle they sometimes get in the way of shifting and bump the shifter.

Dependable Truck — This is a great vehicle. I have owned it for for over 10 years and it has performed flawlessly. Towing boats, hauling material, or going on a trip. It is always reliable and ready to go. It is the kind of truck that you can depend on for doing whatever job needs to be done.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: great power, smooth ride, cargo capacity, comfort, low maintenance

Cons: none after owning for 10 years

Amazing. — Its a damn good truck. 15 years old and drives the same as if it were brand new. 350 is debatabley the greatest engine ever made so theres no complains at all about the driveline. handles just like any other truck. brakes are pretty soft. not like any other trucks from 97 would stop on a dime either. awesome truck for the money.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 350, 4x4, and easily modable

Cons: handling and brakes

Good, Reliable Truck — Bulletproof motor, good performance. Wouldn't try adding a lot of performance upgrades to the motor without beefing up the trans. Gas sucks at $4 a gallon. But you will not get stuck in snow with 4wd. As with any vehicle, maintain it correctly and it will last.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Chevy 350 V8

Cons: Gas Guzzler
