Audi — the bad quality about this car was it had alot of things that needed fixed that i never had the time to fix. it also did not have the power i wanted. the performance could have been better the handeling was good and the braking was good but acceleration sucked because of the 172 hp. gas milage was pretty good.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it only had 100,000 miles

Cons: hated that it had alot of scratches and things were starting to break.

Excellent Cruiser. — Built to last, elegantly styled, very luxurious. 240k miles and still going. It's got a 70 litre tank, and the 1.9 TDi unit manages 200 miles per quarter, quite easily. With respectable performance, it's an excellent, comfortable cruiser on the autobahns and motoways.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: luxury, build quality

Cons: you're a boy racer

A True 'highlander', Simply Immortal Engine. — 1.8 Saloon Automatic Model, despite 190k miles the engine is immortal, smooth idle, no rust. Only problem I had was the distributor (one after the other the service lights came on and then the power went completely within half a mile maximum, quite scary - anyway, the distributor needed replacing, $170 for a used one, double for a new one). Now car is back to its best.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable engine. Goes still strong after 190k miles. No rust whatsoever

Cons: Not stylish but classic.

Overall Solid Car — Great Bose stereo and plenty of room. Looks great in red. Power is okay but could use a larger V6. Coldest air condition i have ever experienced. It handles great and the ride is velvet smooth. As a car i just drive it is excellent. Plus it has decent gas mileage.

Pros: Roomy interior, great bulit quality, Quattro.

Cons: Needs a V8!!!

Solid, Well Built, Spacious, Comfortable — This was a fantastic car, solid, unstoppable in the snow (with Bridgestone Blizzaks), roomy (it had a popup third seat in the "way back" for carrying extra people to the beach).

Pros: Luxurious, solid, safe, good looking, great Audi/Bose stereo, beautiful paint.

Cons: Those pesky Bosch electrical components, marginal fuel economy, weak rear drivetrain seals and engine seals, fast tire wear (see my comments on the 1993 Audi 90S we owned).

Audi Wagon - Too Much Of A Good Thing — Bought the car used in order to fulfill need to haul my child, his friends and our dog around in relative comfort and safety. It is very comfortable, but it is fairly high maintenance and ppor on mileage (17MPG), plus it uses premium fuel. Also, Audi follows German engineering penchant for elaborate cover plates that presumably protect parts (?) but can make even minor maintenance a nightmare. Add to that way to many lightbulbs that will and do burn out, and what I would prefer is a simpler, less costly, lower maintenance while sturdy, safe and long lived vehicle. Cheers!

1997 Audi A6 1.8t — The second generation A6 is my favourite car that I have owned. It gave good performance, along with strong reliability and comfort. The styling still looks fresh today, and with 165000 miles on the clock when I sold it, it still drove like new. The 1.8 Turbo 20V engine Performed very well, but I would recomend the 1.9 TDI.

Pros: Pros: 1.8 Turbo 20V engine

Cons: 1.9TDI more economial
