96 Eclipse Gs — I always loved the looks of the 2nd gen eclipses, so i bought one as a daily beater. It was a base model but it looked as though some changed the header and added a cold air intake. the car smoked like a 50 year old prostitute (common problem) and the clutch was a pos, and then the trans blew... im sure i would have enjoyed it more if i had the GSX version but it DID start up everytime on the first turn of the key. oh and it leaked water inside like nobodies business. and it rode a little stiff for a base model

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: great looking car, dont bother getting the base

Cons: trans, clutch and extreme amount of smoke from exhaust

My Sexy Eclipse — I loved this car, it had a nice bodykit, rims, masterflow, and many more after market stuff. Its good on gas, its a head turner. Blew the engine while trying to be a show off! :/ RIP dear eclipse ... you will be missed =p

Pros: The bodykit/Performance

Cons: The ball joints costed $800 to replace!

Unpredictacble — i hate that it wont turn on after replacing the plugs and wires and doing the valve stem job and resurfacing the head. Someone please help me understand and tell me all possibilities...,........... I need to really get professionally serious and learn more about my car!!!!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: clean, fast, gas efficient

Cons: every repair is temporary

Love It Don't Want To Drive Any Thing Else — Performance is good accelerates just fin , brakes good and handles any corner i've come across so far. Build quality is decent i guess , it has a 2.0 DOHC engine (dodge neon had it too) repairs so far haven't been any thing to major (ex. new thermostat and hosing $20 fix, it has a squeak don't know where from yet. I love the exterior styling of the eclipse the interior isn't shabby either. it is great on gas and fun to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a DSM

Cons: $$$

If Your Looking For A Car That Has Easy To Find Parts This One Is It — The car is not that bad so far. It defintiely needs some custom work. Im looking forward to learning about the car and how it works. as of right now the car is ok to drive but suspension needs some work along with accelerator.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun to customize

Cons: only looks good customized

Awesome Car No Doubt. — Best car I have ever driven or owned. The quality of the car is amazing. I love the feel of it. The performance is nice, has some get up and go to it. It is an affordable sports car that if you don't have, you should get.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Low, Nice

Cons: Small

Good Fast Cheap Car To Upgrade — Fast car after some cheap mods. Good on gas and good sized tank. Low to the ground and wide so you really feel the road! I loved to drive anywhere all the time sporting the beautiful custimized exhaust and the intaked almost sound like a blow off valve!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun, Fast, Furious

Cons: Cheap interior bad factory clutch
