Its a great car, very comfortable and reliable, not the best on gas but not the worst, but definitely not a fast car. Classic styling and comfort.Jan 31, 2023

Absolutely love this car, and I really can't tell you why. Newer (1999-2007) Town Cars are much nicer driving, much more refined, but I never got used to their styling. 170,000 miles and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross-country. I guess it's the styling; to me, this car is iconic, the epitome of the American luxury sedan. Jan 10, 2015

I like every thing about The '96 Town Car Signature Series. Fuel is costly, but that is overlooked with the amentities car offers & drive it provides.
The air suspension this car comes with is like driving in a cloud. No regrets owning a LINCOLN Town Car with '96 body style lots of leg room & seats 6 comfortably.Oct 06, 2014

I just about said what I thought above. This car has served me well, and I would keep driving it if my wife lets me. Ours just turned 243000 miles. Consistently dependable. Love the 4.6 16 valve engine. Efficient and quiet. No problem passing at 80-90mph. Makes towing easy too.Sep 18, 2014

This Lincoln's interior can only be desribed as overstuffed opulence. It is more quiet and comfortable than the Cadillacs I have owned. The suspension is soft but it absorbs bumps in the road very well. The quality of the leather and overall interior construction is better than Cadillac's and is holding up very well after 17 years. The body styling is that of classic beauty and still has no rust. All of the power windows still operate perfectly while 3 of the 4 windows in my Cadillac Fleetwood failed! It's a sleek, smooth, reliable, memorable luxury ride.
I sold this car in 2013. It was just too big for the small town that I moved to.Aug 03, 2013

I hated this body style when they first came out with it, but once I drove it I couldn't get enough of driving it. I will they had put the 460 in but the 4.6 does an ok job. Nothing rides lik a Licoln Town Car!!! Even had a few Cadillac drivers switch to Lincoln after riding in mine.Jan 15, 2011

acceleration is not the best but not the worse concerting that it weights 2 tuns. the
only major repair was the intake manifold (dupont made it out of plastic). It get 18-
20 mostly city but some highway. the "fun factor" is its a boat and if it still has air
ride she floats down the road.Dec 19, 2010

Ive had many Lincoln Town Cars in the past, but this is by far the cleanest, most "like new" one I have ever owned. As it should be with a mere 37k miles. A solid, super soft riding car that floats down the highway. I had a 95 TC without the Touring package that got better MPG, but this takes the cake on condition. Finished in a stunning pearl white shade over a dead white leather. Shows dirt very easy, but a striking combination. The factory chrome wheels really set it over the top. 37k Original miles. This is as new as they come. Have every book, brochure and trinket of information the car came with. Still retains some protective plastic sheeting on the interior that was never removed at delivery.Oct 08, 2010

Bought this one with blown motor at 62k. Paid $600. Used engine with 60k, full black paint, custom deep dish Lincoln wheels, stainless rocker panels. Turned this junkyard bound Town Car to a really really sharp looking car! The pics are just before i sold it, it looked nothing like that when i first got it.Aug 05, 2010

I imagine for anyone else this car would have great ratings, and would be a great car to have. I just don't like it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's just not me.Jun 04, 2008

This car is nice. First off it is good on the highway but it isnt a car you'd want to go racing with. The interior is that of a great luxury car and can fit alot of people. I also love how it can sometimes feel like a truck and a limo, whatever you prefer. But my favorite parts of the car are its handling and its air-ride suspension, this car is easy to drive and is comfortable to be in.Apr 28, 2008
