1996 Chevy Lumina — Its a car. Plain and simple. It has a V6 but gets decent mileage and isnt slow...or fast. Drive train feels solid but interior is built to a much lower standard. Suspension is above average and brakes are good.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: american, V6, gas mileage, trunk space

Cons: interior, still only a V6, FWD

Ok Car To Get Around — Plain, long, heavy, yet tourqey not much going for it except for comfort. 3.1 engine makes good power, transmission is set up like a truck and the car drives like it. The seats are good though and thats about it.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Long distance commuting

Cons: If you dont like big cars

Good Reliable Car For The Most Part, Alot Of Passenger Room — needed new engine and transmission and ac compressor, gas mileage is ok vor a v6 with 19-21 mpg, performance acceleration is nice but cruise control is a pain, car is fun to drive as a v6, but does not have the g force feeling of a v8

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: cheap

Cons: not great gas mileage, transmission

I Need A Truck And A Bike — Gets up and goes, burns threw brake pads and rotors like none other, needs tune up, gas mileage is ok-ish, runs pretty good for being so old, needs to be cleaned and sold, i need a truck and a bike.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Still runs

Cons: It wont survive the winter

Ehhh. — we had the 3.4 liter, which was not a good engine. the situation was this; if you had the 3.1 it's this prob. if you had the 3.8(i think) it's this prob. but if you had the 3.4 its a long list of things and it wasnt cheap.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: safe family car, when you get the right engine.

Cons: DONT GET A 3.4 liter

Its Great To Throw Around As Long As You Don't Mind The Weak Brakes — Fun to drive and handles great in the corners. Could use a little more acceleration power. Its a '96 so its starting to fall apart. Great gas mileage during the summer. The brakes need to be improved for my AWESOME driving style!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Fun to throw around

Cons: Brakes are not up to par with my preferences

Its A Great Traveling Car!!! — performance- acceleration is alright, breaking is pretty good, abd handeling is good appearance is nice couple little dents but thats about all. interior is very nice for a 96' cost of ownership- the gas mileage isnt too bad, maintenance is east to keep up on and this car is pretty fun to drive.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: they never die!!!

    Cons: gas

Usually Good Value For The Money Used — It's a cheap 4-door car. It's nothing special, but it is reliaible and drives well for the price. I miss it but my wife hated the long, rounded hood. Gas mileage is decent and it's a good compromise between go power and gas mileage. It also has side-impact beams in the doors.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Inexpensive, safe, and reliable.

Cons: It's cheap. The paint's cheap, the inside is cheap.

Ghetto Mobile — I LOVE this car. It may be the biggest piece of junk with duck tape and beer cans holding it together but it is still the best thing. This car is really an imbarisment to society but there is nothing better then driving in that piece of junk.

Pros: the coolest thing to ride in

    Cons: piece of junk

Luminas — it runs. gets me from point a to point b. it rides but had fixed fuel pump and alot of other stuff. You cant beat 500 dollars for this car, i had it for about 3 years now. about to hit 200k miles.

    Pros: it rides

    Cons: problems
