Why is my Tacoma still overheating?
95 Tacoma. 2.4L. New radiator, new thermostat, new water pump, new fan clutch, 50/50 mix. Still overheats to the point that it boils out coolant from reservoir. I am out of ideas.

In 1995, Toyota finally gave their pickup truck a real name: the Tacoma. To celebrate its new name, the compact pickup truck also got a new look, with more aggressive styling. The 1995 Tacoma also got upgraded engines and a redesigned chassis, steering, and suspension.
The 1995 Toyota Tacoma was available in three trim levels: the Regular Cab, the Xtracab, and the SR5 Xtracab. The Regular and the Xtracab were available in 4WD, and the SR5 came standard with it. The base engine was a 2.4-liter, 142-horsepower four cylinder; and a 2.7-liter, 150-horsepower four-cylinder; or a 190-horsepower V6 was also available. Fuel economy varied depending on the engine and cab, and ranged from about 17/19 to 22/28.
Drivers like the 1995 Tacoma because it is compact and light but still can tow and carry sufficient amount. They also say the 4WD handles well in inclement weather. Drivers of the â??95 Tacoma do caution that the car does not offer the most comfortable ride, and it really more for hauling loads than as an every day commuter.

95 Toyota Tacoma is a little overpriced all 4 corners needs shocks and clutch is slipping a little total price out the door $6000 too high $ one more thing Toyota truck will need a total complete AC unit install (if you want AC) Sep 28, 2020

Its actually an 85 and it will NEVER die - so I love it.
Its banged up and used to be the prettiest truck on the
block. But Surrey drunks wrecked it. When it was new
(5 years - ISH) people used to stop to admire it. But

There is not anything on this truck except what needs to be there. Plenty of room in the engine compartment. More than likely it will be getting a 360 Mopar. The cab is a little cramped for the 6' and over club. Right now though I get 28 mpg going to K Falls. I figure that's better than the 10 I was getting in my last truck. Jun 30, 2009

Great off road capabilities. Does very well in the mud and off road with minor tire upgrade. Over 360 thousand km and never has been in the shop. When i get a new truck i am gonna lift it and put 35 inch tires on.Apr 25, 2009

Our Tacoma has 175k miles and has (almost) seen the second kid through college. It's lived in NC, then Texas, then Colorado and now upstate NY. When the final cap and gown gets tossed the Tacoma will retire to the Hill Country of Texas as our hunting lease truck. Other than tires, brakes and a belt or two this has been the best car I have ever owned. Mar 18, 2009

i like my truck simply becuase it is the perfect truck it has suited me well, and there isnt really much it cant do with 262K on it it is a sturdy truck. the engine could be i little more powerful, but it is probably that way cuz of the milesSep 19, 2008

i love my truck it sounds like a v8 with my flowmaster. and after i installed the cold air intake and my 1' throttle body spacer the pick up i have is amazing. i do all the work on my truck my self and just recently got engine parts painted candy blue.Aug 30, 2008

Its old and almost about to die
it would have been good about 13 years ago....
Also this car has like dents thats why
cost was pretty cheap because i bought it used.

for 289,000 miles there is nothing else that is still running this strong, dual overhead cam v block makes great power from start to finish. deckplate intake mod TRICK!! great gas mileage considering. wtf beats a yotah in mud???, lightweight,
agressive looks and so many aftermarket parts.!!!! one of the
first 5,000 made!!!!!

nice truck, excellent quality, decent power from the 2.7 liter 4 cylinder engine, 24 mpg, 5 speed transmission. cost of ownership? not much, idk, its really reliable so not too much care needed, besides the normal stuff which should be done anyway.Jul 14, 2008

I've put over 200,000 miles on this truck (I gave away my '77 with over 300,000)and it's never had a major repair. Change the oil, lube it and it takes care of itself. I live in the mountains and drive it in all kinds of conditions (including serious offroad with a 4-wheel camper)and it has never let me down.Apr 08, 2008

Power windows have constant power
Power windows have constant power even when the key is out of the ignition. Battery drains within a week. If I pull the #30 fuse out that stops the windows from working. Please help
