1995 olds aurora leaking coolant

The leak seems to be coming out of a seal thats lifting off my exhaust between the oil pan and another pan i am unfamiliar with i am new to working on my car myself. It drains the water i put in it within a couple minutes.

1995 Aurora - Instruments / lights working intermentently on starting

Hello Folks - Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to offer. I have a 1995 Olds Aurora, bought in 1998 and has been an excellent vehicle. Recently on a trip from Colorado to Iowa I experienced a problem I've never had before. Hoping someone out there has maybe had something similar and can offer advice. I turned the car off to refuel. When I restarted it all the usual lights, gauges, tack, etc. were not active, the only thing lit up was the warning "anti lock". The radio, a/c, tack, temp. gauge, etc. were completely dead. I assumed there was a bad fuse, checked the fuses in the dash panel by steering wheel and all good. Removed the rear seat and continued to check both fuse banks. Again could not find any bad fuses but there were a few which are not checkable. The car would start and go into gear so I thought it best to try and drive to the next exit (this was on I70 at the Kansas City Turnpike). After maybe a 1/2 mile all the electronics started working as normal again. About every 3rd time the car is started this problem happens. Normally would go away after a short distance but yesterday it happened again (of course on way to DIA to drop someone off). This time in addition to the "antilock brakes" light coming on the "service engine soon" light also was lit. NOt only did the dash instruments / lights not come back on the transmission seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear. Hoping someone has experienced this issue and might have some guidance or suggestions on what the problem could be. Again, thanks in advance for any assistance!!!!

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora - Engine Light On with DTC code 049 Air Injection Reaction

My 1995 Old Aurora is not OBD 1 and not OBD2, somewhere in between. The check engine light is on and the code read on the Actron reader is DTC 049. Only problem is that the Aurora service manual does not define what a code 049 is. The Actron says it is a "Air Injector Reaction" type error. I don't believe the 1995 Aurora uses an AIR pump to inject air into the exhaust during open loop operation, well at least I can't locate any pump. Any advice as to what this DTC 049 error is? BTW, I erase all the stored codes in the Actron, then start the car again. The service engine light illuminates and DTC 049 code is read again, so this issue does not appear to be a transient fault.

Headlamp problem on 1995 Aurora

Front headlamps go on when car is off, Even when driving, lights and dashboard blink on and off, almost like it is pulsating. Have to pull the headlamp breaker out of the fuse box at night so the lights won't go on and kill the battery. What to do? Bob Barton Baltimore, MD.
