Love My Truck. — There really is nothing to complain about. All power features still work after 20 years. Power is not as good as before but what can you expect for an older vehicle. Great car for out family. We have already decided that we will keep her and just get me a newer 4runner when we can.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Over 20 years old and still kicking. Works to hauls stuff around yet perfect as the family car. All power features still work, a few window motors are a little slow,  but nothing to complain about.

Cons: Only con I have for my truck is that she is now beginning to loose power but I blame that in the age.

Reliable And Great! — I love my 4runner, it has been good to me for many years. Mine is hitting 320000 miles and still runs like new. Gas mileage is not that bad for an SUV. I have the manual transmission so when theres traffic it is a pain sometimes. Although it is not a powerful car but for driving its perfect and handling is great, feels like your driving a small car, I never get a sense of roll over on sharp turns. As long as you take care of the it, it will take care of you. Once you own one you start loving it!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling, Gas for an SUV, big tiny car

Cons: sort of small

Excellent First Car And Mild Offroader — It is very solid for a 15 year old SUV, has only 103,000 miles, has the 3VZ-E V6 with the A340H 4 speed automatic transmission, has every factory option except the alarm, and is my first vehicle that I hope to never sell!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent build quality, always ready to go

Cons: Doesn't have a lot of power on the highway, doesn't get the best mileage in the world

'94 4runner — Great for off-road driving, handles like a dream. real bargain for the price I bought. Longevity of the vehicle is surprising. Not too bad on the eyes, but worth the beating up. This truck will take anything you throw at it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Headroom, shifting, off-road capability, longevity

Cons: Gas mileage and the engine

'94 4runner — I love my truck but it needs more power. It is built like everything should be, very solid. It's a pretty good looking truck. It is pretty expensive to own as far as gas. It is really fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: build quality, appearace, fun factor

Cons: performance

Could Be Better — Its a Toyota. Has 4 wheel drive. Good for getting through the bush. Acceleration sucks, its more of a cruising truck. Has a pretty big sunroof which is bossy. Can be turned into a nice truck if you have the money.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 4x4

Cons: Rust

Old 4 Runner Ticking Like A Clock — My step father has had his since he bought it brand new has over 300,000 miles on it still runs like a fox had to adjust the throttle cable once but other than that it has never been into the shop for anything!!! he changes and maintains the oil and fluids himself and hes no mechanic but it is very easy great running vehicle. i hav seen him pull a massive stump out of the ground with his 4 runner it is a great SUV i recommend for anyone who wants to pay for what they get

Pros: decent fuel mileage, strong like ox

Cons: none

One Of The Best Used Cars Available. — Great Starter Car...drives great forever!take care of it and it takes care of you.As far as performance goes..the 4runner has a ballsy V6 engine that lets you go fast on or off road..So much fun to drive and a very dependable car for anyone who needs to go anywhere.

Pros: Will last forever and ever

Cons: V6 engine guzzles gas..but well worth it

Long-lasting Suv That Keeps Its Value. — Although the acceleration is at the lower end of the spectrum, my 4Runner handles like a car when cornering and the braking is excellent. I havent had to replace many stock engine parts (although I have, just to make it more efficient). The engine runs good even in sub-zero (Butte) weather. The front make funny noises when heating up in the winter. It has a great paint job, good suspension for on and off-roading. Once you understand the mass of vaccuum hoses, it's easy to work on since it is ODB-1 and parts are relatively easy to find even though it's foreign. It can fit places that full-size trucks can't and has enough power and gears to go anywhere.

Pros: High-efficiency V6 4WD
High ground clearance
Excellent cornering for its high center of gravity
Parts interchangeable with Tacoma, Celica, Camry
Low gearing for pulling/hauling
20 mpg highway
Easy to work on
Power everything including moon roof

Cons: Low power-to-weight ratio
Susceptible to sidewinds
Complicated air intake (I've modded mine)
No positrac on 94 model
