ive always wanted an s10 ever since ever. so the day i finally got rid of my Lexus i bought one. first things first. the style is timeless and the amount of aftermarket parts are limitless. i cant really say nothing bad about my truck because i do love it and i want to build it up to be something im really proud of.Apr 01, 2015

does great on and off the road performance needs more pick up but other wise a
good truck the 4x4 cable is broke but be4 it broke the 4x4 was working excelent
and it shifted smothly it was hard to believe tht it hadent been used in 3yrsNov 01, 2011

This has been a great truck to have and drive so far. i installed a completely new engine ignition and starter system added. All I need is new tires muffler and springs, and do some minor body work to it.Oct 26, 2011

Needs better acceleration/ power 23 miles to the gallon handles good good braking minnor repairs light backend so not so good on ice, snow dirt roads interior exterior good condition Great first truck fun truck to drive with gas prices where its at about 50 dallors to fill from 3/4 tankAug 30, 2011

Good daily driver. ok little truck. Gets you where you need to go no problem. haven't toed anything with it but imagine it would pull light loads ok. Would make a

wat i like about my truck is the huge engine i have in it, it has ssooo much horespower and it is the best truck ive ever had in the mud even though it doesnt sit very high ive never had it stuck

Chevrolet vehicles, in general, are made to be very user friendly to owners, mechanics and bodymen.
The S10 series trucks is no exception to this rule. They are easy to repair and easy to maintenance, even for those with very little mechanical skill.
They do great as a small work truck for people who don't like the idea of owning a bigger vehicle. The S10 is not a fun vehicle to drive in the case of the every day driver. It is simply another vehicle on the road.
The really neat thing about this particular make and line of trucks is the sheer versatillity. S10 trucks and Blazers come in both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive.
The can be easily customized from a vast market of aftermarket products targeted specifically for them.
So, whether you're looking for a nice little dependable work truck or a daily driver, this is a nice truck to consider.

Blew the damn rear end and had some cracked plugs, but new wheels and tires soon to come and some new shocks after replacing all plugs and wires and a new rearend. Next year shall be the jump off for this truck with a full frame and motor swap and maybe some bags ;)Nov 16, 2010

Its alright as far as acceleration for now...but i hope to see a 350 in it someday, as for suspension im probably going with a five link. The truck is awesome to drive and the stereo is plenty loud for now.....for now.Aug 02, 2010

the performance is good, but too old, doesn't really need engine maintnance just
on the outside, and a little on the inside.it's also a stick shift which makes it even
more exciting to drive. But over all its a pretty fun truck to drive,

Been I love with S-10 since I was little. Cant tell you why through. Best thing about this truck is that its a 4.3L with a 5 Speed, 2wd and one fun truck to drive. I have had it ever since my Mom and Dad gave it to me in the Spring of 2002. It only have 120K on it and still runs like a top.

Performance - fast, quick, a truck
Build Quality -only had it a few weeks, no probs yet.
Appearance -looks great on the outside, and comfy inside
Cost of Ownership - ok gas mileage, 20 or so. no repairs made

its a good truck all around i can haul alot of stuff in it including my ride. good. i can tow things withn it. it is fun to drive ive got power avalible if i need it. so The S10 is a goood truck

Personally, I would buy another, but only if it had the 4.3 Vortec V6 and was newer than 1998, otherwise, I don't care for this truck much. Fairly reliable and good on gas, but the transmission on mine went out only a month or so after I had it. This was my first manual vehicle, and it was a good one to learn it on.Nov 12, 2009

new motor and tranny(4.3 v-6 vortec)
lowered with 5inches in back and four inches in front
gets about 25 to the gallon got about 1,550 in the motor
got two tens behind the seat with a six hunred watt amp and a 7 in screen and 20in wheels on the way!

I like that it is at 176000 miles with no major issues so far. I don't like the complete lack of weight and no control I have in the winter, especially living in Michigan. Its not bad to drive, just not great eitherFeb 06, 2009

I beat this truck into the ground and it still started up every morning without any trouble. the transmission complained every now and then but i think a solenoid was going... anyway, it had a 4.3L v6 in it (basically a 350ci without 2 cylinders) hauled ass all the time and was fun to drive. it cost me money but hey she runs like top now and does what i ask. it all good. it helps out with the outt side chores. i wish it would get better gad mileage but that could be the way Im driving it. It also has really

i am a mini trucker till i die. i ride a 94 s 10 on 13 inch 100 spoke daytons. new cowl induction hood with ram air. planing to get a 4 hydraulic set up. able to move whole body up and down, side to side, front up and down, rear up and down and three wheel motion drivers front and passenger front. The pickup for this truck with the 2.2L engine leaves something to be desired but I still love it. Handles well and is pretty comfortable. Gets more than 30 miles to the gallon especially if you watch how you drive. Very easy to work on, I replaced a head gasket in mine pretty much on my own.Sep 11, 2008

She's Purple and has leopard print floor mats so you know it's a chicks truck. She's a '94 so a little older, the seating in the back are fold away so it's a little confined. All that put aside, this old truck will beat you off the line and leave you behind. Be careful of the girly truck.Jul 13, 2008

1994 S-10 with mettalic red paint standard LS trim package, its got stock 5 spoke rims with P/235/60/R in the front with P/275/50/R in the rear, cat delete, dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's, hypertech chip, accel wires, K&N intake, throttle body spacer, and comp cams 1.60 inch lifters,auto. The interior is black and gray with carbon fiber trim, carpets and seats are perfect, 1200 watt zeus amp with a memphis M3 12 in a ported memphis truck box, stinger capacitor, and stinger RCA's and 4 guage stinger power wire and in-line fuse, i hit 138.7 db's with my old memphis 300 watt amp havent competed with this setup yet but it is definitely louder. Hi! Will a 96 2.8L fit into a 94 s10 without to much work? I've heard that the computer and the harness would have to be changed and that there is a crankshaft sensor in the 96?! Is there anything to do after that? Thanks!

Chevy s10 1994 spitting &sputtering replaced alot of stuff
V6 4.3 ,was having to have fast idle for it to take fuel spitting and sputtering aca acsional back fire. Replaced throttle body kit and injectors plugs wires map senser pickup module rotor fixing to replace fuel filter . But now something happen while driving ,noticed I did"nt have fast idle anymore started dieing everytime I stopped .so I went out and was going to put idle back to fast but notice it was idling perfect still tried to put fast but want idle up only down drive good taking fuel now but want idle at all already spent bunch on it and the device engine light is off and been off this whole time this going on so no code reader can someone help
