1993 Mercury Topaz GS Coupe FWDReview
Caleb writes:

Starter Car — The Topaz is the first car I've owned. And aside from needing to replace the head gasket after I bought it, it runs pretty good. There will be modifications made soon...I will be giving it a custom paint job, replacing the rear suspension, seeing as though it shot, and straight piping the exhaust. It runs a little slow and leaks oil, so I'll also be overhauling the engine.

Pros: reliable car
not too fancy, but not crappy
good interior space

Cons: not a manual

...what To Say... — If you get the V6 for the Topaz, you might actually forget what you're driving and enjoy yourself for a moment or two. If you get the 2.3 Liter four-cyl, you will hate yourself forever. I only the good times I had in that Topaz with my best friend and I have no love for the car itself.

Pros: low cost.

Cons: no features, uncomfortable, slow, not even good on gas, ugly.
