I Love My Itty Bitty Car! — I bought my 1993 Geo Storm strictly to save gas for my commute to school and work. I'm getting 36 mpg currently. I am doing a full tune-up this weekend and hoping to improve that. I have found that some of the parts are hard to find to replace (radio, air intake hose so far) but overall I'm pleased with the cost of parts. This car is fun to drive and handles pretty well. It handles tight in curves and brakes quickly. The acceleration is a little slow, but I expected that with the small engine size. I paid $550 for it and it is paying for itself many times over in gas money saved. I've had to do very few repairs so far. Like any other car, keep the oil changed and maintenance current and you shouldn't have any trouble. I'm sad that there aren't more of these on the road (have yet to see another one!) Mine has 185k miles on it and I'm hoping to get many more out of it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage, cheap to fix, very reliable.

Cons: Some parts hard to find/replace

Loved It, If I Wouldn't Of Crashed It I Would Have Kept It Forever. — Amazing handling! It was a small car so it was easy to park it in tight spots. If you're taller then 5 foot, you wont have fun in the back seats. Mine was slightly modded so it had a little more power, and combine with it's light weight it could go! It got 31 MPG with me driving it like a racecar every other day. IMO it's better to build a reliable car for $1,200 then buy a new one for $20,000. 5-speed added a fun factor to it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: MPG, Handling, Looks are a +. Oh, and it's better than a Civic! ;)

Cons: No ABS, and Good luck finding one without a cracked dash.

It Is What It Is — Bought used for duaghters to drive all (3) learned to drive using this car 5 speed manual with enough power to stay out of most everyones way. It is a no frills transporter with 197K miles and knows how to steer clear of the gas pump

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 30 mpg

A Great Little Car. — I've had this storm for 17 years and I love it. I refuse to get rid of it. I think the people who made this car shouldn't have stopped making them. The parts for this car are inexpensive. The car is very responsive. I have 230,000 miles plus on my car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: the gas mileage

Cons: maintenance, some things are hard to get to/

Love It — Alot of power, comfortable interior, very sharp looking, cheap to buy, good mileage. Interior looks good aswell, it was two-tone in mine. Since GEO was discontinued, they're awful hard to find parts for. It's a really fun car to own.

Pros: Good handling

Cons: Hard to find parts for

Durable — -90 HP is a little small, but gets the job done -takes tight turns at high speeds easily -around 35-40 mpgs depending how its driven -not much torque but can go if you can manage the stick -not very quiet, but low to the ground making it feel like ur going really fast. -not very safe, but very durable -really low cost of ownership

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: efficiency

Cons: safty

Geo Storm Review — I like how light the car is and pick up is impressive for the small engine. I hate how the SOHC manifolds develop cracks in the same spot. Also, i hate my exhaust leak. :( IT is fun to drive and with the hood scoop people always try to race. 9 grand tach is a must. :)

Pros: LIght Body, 9 grand tach aloy wheels, spoiler. coupe, great engine

Cons: exhaust leak,non aggressive styling
