Goofy Looking..egg Shape Design..but Dependable As Hell..the Vehicle I Would Have Taken To Alaska — I've taken this Previa leaving from Winnipeg Canada At 6:00 am .In the middle of Winter -15 below zero. With my Family aboard .Drove though a blizzard through the Dakotas with 10 inches of snow blowing across the interstate. With a average speed of 55 mph . And after 5hrs.On the other side of Fargo ND. With the road finally cleared up. I cruised the at a speed of 80 mph..till I got to Omaha Nebraska..Not once did I think this van would jeopardize us at any time .This van has got amazing heat . and amazing traction .No matter how cold it gets .The kids used to call it the furnace. Cause it had better heat then anybody 's we knew with a van ..It was also very comfortable for traveling . Tons of room for a family of 4.. Also its pretty quiet.. Kids would watch movies ..without headphones..Cruising at highway speeds I usually got around 20mpg to max 22mpg..Gas mileage was not one of it's good points ..The air conditioning wasn't spectacular, but it worked ok .Even in the hottest days . I drove this Previa van across Canada and across the USA several times . And I can honestly say the only problem I ever had was the Heater air cond Fan blower .And that was in kissimmee Florida ...Where I stopped at a car parts store . Ordered the part .Which they got for me within a hour . And put it in myself in a couple of hours.. This van has giving me spectacular service .And now almost 21 years of servce .I have a hard time letting go to sell it . It was pretty weird a couple of weeks ago a kid about 17 years old came up to me .After we had a huge snowfall .And I was in a shopping center parking lot ..And asked if the van I was driving was a toyota Previa .I said it was .And he wow iv'e been looking for one of those in good shape for months .Would you consider selling it . I said I didn't think guys your age would like these .He are you kidding .Id take that in a minute .I guess maybe these things are coming back in style again..I told my youngest daughter about the kid wanting the van. She looked at me as if I were nuts .And told me she would have sold in a heart beat.. Maybe It's just me and won't let go ,cause of all the good memories I have with it...

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: For a vehicle going on 21 years . It's been fantastic for dependability. And fantastic in the snow with awd.

Cons: It could of been a bit more peppy not much zip...Considering it sucks a lot of gas..

Mini Van, Mega Fun — for a van this thing is sweet! its got a fair amount of getupandgo to it. It also coners better than any other van ive ever driven. when you buy a toyota your geting a heck of a deal cuz the coast of maintenance is so low comparied to other makes. over all if your looking into geting a van this would be an awesome choice!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Performance, Build Quality, Cost of Ownership

Cons: gas mileage 14-21ish

A Real Workhorse — This car is easy to use. No sportive car, but solid build. I bought this car with some edges and scratches, but I use it as a workhorse and for that it is the ideal car. There is enough space if you like to extend the car with some gadgets.

Pros: Lot of space

Cons: up to now nothing

The Most Reliable Car Ever Created By Man. — My parents bought this van back in 1992 for something like 20,000. They were not expecting to pay that much and were kind of upset that they bought it. Little did they know that 193,000 miles down the road….it would still be running STRONG. The model that I have isn’t anything special, no supercharger or all wheel drives, just the base model. It has cruise control, power locks, power windows, and one sliding door. It has a small 2.4l inline 4 that makes about 138hp.

Pros: Reliability, cargo room, sex appeal

Cons: Fuel mileage, underpowered, engine noise

They Don't Build Minivans Like They Used To. — This is an incredible minivan. It has the front engine rwd configuration which allows it to handle better than any modern minivan. It also has superb reliability, with no major problem in its over 130000 miles. It is not very good looking, but what minivan is? It could use more power, however, which is a problem that was eventually fixed when they came out with the supercharged version. Fuel economy has been pretty bad though, with usually around 18mpg. This is the result of a small engine in a big car working to hard.

Pros: Handling, steering feel, usability

Cons: Power

I always wanted a Previa when they were new. The cost @ $25,000 in 1990-91 was far too high. I managed a used one in 2005 @ $7,900. That may seem high but it was a good investment. very happy. Eng... Read More
