The Toy — Bought the car at auction to find out it was a very limited production model and have fixed all the Mercedes design flaws and slowly restoring it to original condition. I runs fantastic with the handling of sports car while looking like a family car. I love this thing. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Fantastic handling and power. Classic European style and quality Cons: cost of parts for repair. |

Unbelievably Clean — I couldn't believe this was so clean. It was stored properly for 15 years. 143k soft miles, I ran it up to 147 mph and it ran cool and strong, I had more pedal to go, but slowed down it was a little spooky to go that far. It was a open private road in the high desert area. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Clean Cons: None |

A V-8 Mercedes With Speed And Comfort. — I love this car, it's big engine, it's bank-vault build quality and it's great comfort on long trips. It isn't a big car on the outside, but it is a superb highway cruiser and just as stable above 100 as it is at 60. One friend said this car showed "the economy of quality," meaning its longevity offset its original high cost of $65,000 in 1992. Best of all is that parts are easily found through Mercedes and often through outside vendors. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Wonderful ride. Solid build quality. Great engine. Good handling for its size. With care these cars can easily go 200,000 miles. Unusually reliable at high mileage if properly maintained. Cons: 20 years on, the styling is dated, but it still is classic. Maintenance can be costly for high mileage cars that have not received regular service. Some systems are complex, such as climate control. Radio is known source of problems, as is the engine wiring harness. Some major repairs can be costly. |

Great Car If You Have The Time And Money To Keep It Going — This car is much faster than it looks. Its very comfortable and easy to drive as well. Its also stable at high speed. Everything is high quality, but this particular example wasn't taken care of by the previous owner and it shows. Maintenance is also expensive. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fast, Comfortable, Well Built Cons: Expensive Parts, High Maintenance |
