Favorite car I've ever been in. Handles like a champ and is the easiest car to drive even tho its a stick. The bass has almost blown out my back windows so I've put fatmat across the whole interior along with a jeep carpet kit. Very clean vehicle my only complaint is gas milage but I hope to chip it and put a cold air intake in itMay 08, 2013

Dont buy an old Jeep unless you love rust! 2007 or newer unless you are handy! Great agility and surprising what the little 4 cylinder will crawl through, 4 foot snow drifts were no problem except for the visibility from the powder flying. Another vehicle that is fun to hate.Jan 03, 2011

Looove my Jeep. But it is horrible on Gas with the upgrades and the brakes suck
too. Other than that I love it and hope to own more. If you like to get off road

i like the jeep cuz u can trust the jeep wrangler in 4x4 more then other 4x4 cars or trucks. the jeep has years of working off road. people mostly would enjoy having to ride a jeep off road then a truck.Oct 08, 2010

I love the fact that I can completely strip all the carpet off the Jeep in case I were
to take it off-road. I absolutely hate the tires on this Jeep. They are way too small.
When I get the money, I'm going to add a 3 inch frame lift. Then I think im going to
get 30 all terrain tires. The gas mileage is absolutely horrid, I get about 14 in the

This car is a blast to go off-roading in. The acceleration sucks. Gas mileage is between 16-18 miles per gallon. handles great in mud or clay, aslo great anywhere kinda car. The only maintenace that you will need to do is anything you break on it has to be repairedJul 09, 2010

Takes off faster than a Cruiser, brakes better than a Sunny, has an amazing turn radius. Needs quite a few repairs due to age and squeaks a bit because of worn out rubber. Rattles only when the doors and roof are on. Exterior and interior are boxy, simple, and do what they were built to do. Gas mileage is horrible (about 330km on a full tank) and needs quite a bit of maintenance because of the tortures it has to endure while off-road. Fun? You wouldn't want to drive any other off-road car after driving a YJ.Jan 10, 2010

Acceleration in first gear is a little slow, but in second or third, it picks up speed nicely. Braking is excellent with all new brakes and brake lines. Handling is good for what my Jeep is. Of course it's not going to handle like a Ferrari. It does need repairs here and there, but it is 17 years old. No funny noises, just a small knock in the engine. Exterior appearance is awesome; some rust but I can live with that. Interior, the same. It's a simple and super basic dash panel. No glowy lights or anything. Gas mileage sucks on this but oh well. Maintenance is very easy. And of course, the fun factor. This beast is EXTREMELY fun to drive everywhere.Dec 06, 2009

What can i say? It's a Jeep! it pretty much speaks for its self. it's definitely not the fastest vehicle, but it wasn't designed to be. its a very solid 4wd vehicle. it is very customizable. i have made my own center console out of an old army ammo can and i'm not through yet.Sep 16, 2009

It's a fun little driver if you want to just drive it off road or around school. Makes some noise. Makes A LOT of noise on the highway. Not very aerodynamic. VERY FUN CAR FOR THE SUMMER WITH THE TOP OFF! :)Sep 01, 2009

Performance wise it's not the best it only has the 2.5 I4 engine but i'm looking to upgrade to a Chevy small block 350. It now has a 4 inch live on it provided by rusty's off road. It also has 15 inch wheels by Unique and 30inch BFG all-terrains. Gas mileage is fairly good being at 20, 24. It is the 5spd manual version of the transmission which makes it really fun off road. The transmission i've upgraded with a B&M short throw shifter and a new heavy duty clutch. Axel wise it is stock with a Dana 30 in front and a Dana 35 in the rear. Someday i hope to change this to a Dana 40 and a Dana 44. It has nothing wrong with it mechanically except for it's hydraulic axle assist. So it can't shift into four wheel drive, however i will replace it when i do a rear drum to disc conversion on the brakes.May 21, 2009

2.5L Inline 4 cyl, didn't produce much hp but tourqe was excellent. Came factory with 4.10 gears, never got stuck once. 3" Rancho lift and Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. Rebuilt transmission myself in summer of 2006. Fun car all around.May 20, 2009

Truly the WORST jeep I have owned. The Gutless 4 cyl even with a 5 speed could barely keep up on the highway. If you were to have this for nothing but offroad, it works great, but dual purpose...forget. Find yourself a 6 cylinder. People told me the gas mileage was about the same and I didn't believe them....well believe them! I restored this jeep from a very rusted out hulk to a very drivable and clean unit. This picture depicts before I finished painting it. It had holes in the side, no floor in the front and the springs were right to snap in reverse. Since it was going to be my winter beater, I just wanted everything sealed and dry. I bed lined the who tub inside and converted the interior from gray to Spice. It was a lot or body work, but the mechanicals just need a little tlc. It was a pretty reliable jeep when I sold it. Just not that fun to drive like my others. Mar 30, 2009

-Performance: Accelerates good, once I get the hang of driving a standard. Braking is good seeing as how it only has 2 working brakes. It needs new rear brake lines. It's a bumpy ride, but you'll get that with a truck like this, but it still handles pretty well I think.
-Build Quality: It does need repairs; I bought it to repair it.
-Appearance: The interior is practically flawless except for a few minor things (rips in the seats). Exterior is a little beat up; it was made for rock crawling, and that's exactly what it did. There's some rust, but I can deal with that.
Cost of Ownership: Can't really comment on this.. I don't know its gas mileage yet, especially with its modifications. Jeep parts are relatively inexpensive except for major parts.
Fun Factor: Extremely fun so far, although I can't drive it yet. It's still fun to look at though.
I would recommend my Jeep to a friend, but they can't have mine. They have to get their own.Feb 21, 2009

It breaks too often!!!! i love the Jeep, and like the people i meet in it! the girls love it, it turns heads where ever i go! its really loud...just like me!!! i love driving it, i just hate paying for the gas. it gets 12 mpg so i spend more time at the pump than in the jeep. but i will always love having it through mud puddles and break downs.Oct 07, 2008

It is a jeep with a inline 6 cylinder, 5 speed, with 4 wheel drive so it is not a perfomance vehicle it is a cruiser. This jeep is built good. I am having to replace my Spider gears and the third member that got damaged in the rear end.When I bought it the guy told me it has all new interior he redone the upholstery,new seats, and console.The jeep gets about 20 mpg. U just have to make sure u clean the top once in a while clean everything make sure yo change ur oil when needed to. Having the top down is fun to do when cruising around town.Sep 25, 2008

Security would have to be the only issue I would have with my Jeep. The build quality is superior to many being that I have only had to patch a few holes in the body after 16 years and 197k miles. The gas mileage is great. I have gone 233 miles on one tank of gas. This is a real fun car and shines beautifully when washed and waxed. Aug 11, 2008

I loved my wrangler and I miss it dearly. She treated me so well, like a king. I would absolutely recommend this vehicle to anyone. Im getting a little teary eyed just thinking about her, she was the best. the only part that is somewhat of a down side is the milage. Jul 28, 2008

My jeep is pritty much completely stock besides the stereo system, which really pounds, alpine type s speakers (4x6's and 6x9's) with a alpine type s 12 inch sub with 900w Rms and 4 ohms. Plans are to lift it 6.5 or 8" the proper way and then do a spring over axle kit for another 5.5" so i can stuff some 38" super swampers in there, it has the 2.5l four cylander which is good for now due to gas prices. soon to be swapped for a 400hp 4.0L stroker straight 6 and an ax15 transmission.Jun 12, 2008

This 1992 jeep will never get stuck, its got a powerhouse of an engine, 4x4 of course, minimalistic everything, absoloutely rust free, which for us jeep guys is rare to come by, only has 98k miles and is built like a rock, nothins gunna stop itMar 20, 2008

It's fun to drive. Cheap to fix... I mean really cheap. I had to replace about half of the whole clutch system and it only cost around 300 dollars if i remember right. Total repair costs after 11 years probably arent above $1000. It'll out-mud a Blazer or Explorer lifted 3 times higher than it. It'll still run when it's broken 3 different ways (I know this from experience). I get compliments from people nearly everywhere I go. I bought this car after my Honda Civic. It had quite a few modifications already and I learned to enjoy all of them. I quickly became a 4x4 fanatic - hitting the trails every weekend. Dying when coming to stop, and won’t hold idle at start up either
My Jeep won’t stop dieing at idle, have tried to adjust the carb , etc, not sure what’s going on with it. Have to keep my foot on the accelerator at intersections. Doesn’t die off when on the free way for instance. But won’t hold idle when starting and won’t hold idle coming to a stop
