I love the ride these cars have. I bought mine from an ex detective and i've had it for 5 yrs. It also has a very special way of getting other drivers to move out of the way or stopping and letting me go first ;). Mar 09, 2011

the ride and handling of a car this size is amazing and comfy! This car came with air suspension from factory, but has been converted since.However you would be fit to be tied to tell the difference. I love these big old performers.:) Feb 13, 2011

great riding car,comfortable,lots of room,people move outta ur way cuz they think ur a cop!LOL! It was so-so on gas because of the 4.6 engine and price of gas lately. I feel vey comfortable putting my 20 month old son in the middle of the backseat in his carseat.
I would buy another one in good condition for the right price!Me and my wife agree the crown is our favorite car out of all we owned togetherMar 23, 2010

If it weren't for the bad Alternator and needing a new Battery earlier this year and now the fact that I need a new Starter for it, well, it's not a bad car!
It could use a few dents pulled out and a new paint job but overall, I am happy with it.
However, i would be Much happier with a small to midsize car.Nov 20, 2009

I love my car. It's golden brown, well-maintained, excellent condition, handles great in city and highway driving. I love both the interior and exterior styling and its fun to drive. I also like the protection factor of having a large car with lots of power especially when needed. This is my favourite car I've owned. I've even said that if I won a lottery, I wouldn't replace it with a newer vehicle.Aug 20, 2009

Performance: When I got it the response time was out of control, 90,000+ miles later with a blown head gasket and a dying tranny and it still wants to buck.
Build quality: the exterior holds up fine yet the interior is falling apart. The upholstery and dash is a mess ...
Appearance: It is a cop car, people move out of my way when I accelerate
Cost of Ownership: For the miles I put on it, very reasonable. Gas is okay on highway but honestly I get about 6-9 mpg in the city or stop and go traffic.
Fun Factor: AWESOME in the snow, hahah. I don't care what other people will tell you about muscle rearwheel and snow. Once you understand your car its an automotive sled that you can enjoy. In the summer it's fun, just doesn't maneuver as well as I would like. Then again it is almost 4 tons.Aug 04, 2009

Performance - haven't really been able to take it out and test it very much, but from what I've heard it handles very well, and will throw you into your seats with the acceleration.
Quality - after 17 years of abuse it still runs really nice, car is solid with almost no rust. if it wasnt for that battery bracket under the hood it would be 100% without rust.
Appearance - I'm not going to lie, this year of crown vic was fugly, its made worse by the pealing clearcoat and broken off badges, but I love it all the same.
Cost - this thing is so easy to maintain and easy to find parts for. any crown vic from 1988 to now has almost all the exact same parts and are 100% compatible. always wanted that 1998 body? well its the same frame so you can put it on with no hassle. The only thing that drives up the cost is gas, that thing eats through gas like you wouldnt believe. sitting idling I watched the fuel needle drop from just above half a tank to just under it.
Fun - I havent taken this out very much, but arnt all cars fun if you know how to handle them?Jul 07, 2009

this car was awesome...An old police cruiser, it handled greatly, rode smoothly and was strong as an ox, with over 200K miles on the car. It was awesome to drive and I wished I still had it...The Focus is nothing in comparison to thisJul 04, 2009

It looks like a grandpa car but with the 5.0 in it it will be taken off the line but in the long run it will hall some ass and it has almost reached 140 mph still needs some work but waiting till i can restore it to it original form.Aug 15, 2008

Hi; To who concern,I own a 92Crown Victoria Police Package,and I have to do a major overhaul in brakes and today I noticed that my brake reservoir is just a little low just about 1/8 of the mark or maybe more,lower of the mark indicating, and wonder what kind of brake fluid is recommend for this vehicle,I already have one but never used, cause I didn't have to but now I'm going to used some, until I do the brake repair, so please let me know If I kind can use a regular brake fluid bought in any auto parts,Thank you yours truly.

1992 Crown Victoria stumbles under load, dies, starts 15 minutes later, runs fine then stumbles and dies again
My 1992 Crown Victoria has 103,000 miles on it. We live at sea level elevation (but not by the ocean) and the car is stored inside our garage. Over the last 6 months or more it has developed an occasional stumble when stepping on the accelerator under load, typically in overdrive when going up a hill or attempting to pass. When the car downshifted to 3rd it would briskly accelerate away without stumbling. Recently the stumbling became very pronounced while going up a mountain at 6,000 feet elevation in dry weather. It stumbled a half dozen times in rapid succession, the check engine light came on, the car went to idle and sounded like it was running on 2 or 3 cylinders for about 10 seconds then died. It restarted but still missed terribly and died. Then it would not restart. After leaving sit for 10 or 15 minutes the car started, idled smoothly and revved high when accelerator was stepped on. Put the car in gear, pulled out and continued up and within 1/4 to 1/3 mile in 3rd gear it did it all again. After 10 or 15 minutes it started again and idled and revved fine. Pulled up about 75 feet to a safe spot, turned off car and waited for tow truck. Car started fine again when tow arrived. Got towed home. Mechanic can't find anything wrong so far. All gauges appeared to read okay except check engine light came on while car was stumbling terribly. Light went out when car started okay. Car has new spark plugs and clean air filter, oil and oil filter. Otherwise I think everything is OEM. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

how many cadtyic convertors doe the 1992 crown Victoria has
I have a 1992 Crown Victoria with 75,000 we took it to get it smog and all the years we tooked it ans it passed intill now they claim the we modified by taking off the cad conveters off except for two of them because the 1992 has 4 if them but my car has two. we took it to Midas and the car takes two and in 2005 my dad replaced them. but the State of California is not letting it pass.
