Over All Decent Car — this car was given to me by my grandfather as a wedding present, it has had only one other owner that I know about, and he was also another older gentleman, so the car has been taken extremely care of. runs really great, for its age. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: nice small car it gets great gas Milage, has low Maintenance. cost, back seats fold down for more storage room. Cons: does not have lots of horsepower, does not work great going up steep hills. ![]() Looking for a Used Metro in your area?CarGurus has 1 nationwide Metro listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Fun, Cheap, And Great Run About Town Vehicle. — Car handled well even though it was not quick on acceleration. but that isn't why I bought it. The money I saved each month on gas made the car payments. In the 8 years I drove the car the only maintenance I did was change the oil without fail and bought four 12" tires once. I loved the car and everyone else made fun of it, calling it the "Blue Shoe" When they say they cannot build a fuel efficient car, they are full of it. With today's gas prices I'd love to have my car back. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Fun and great on gas mileage Cons: Having fun poked at you. LOL! |

Horrible — My Geo sucks! It's not worth anything, there is rust everywhere I look, the interior is falling to pieces, it get horrible gs milege, won't go over 52 mph, and it is horribly noisy. If you want my opinion, DON'T GET A GEO! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Cheap Cons: To darn many. |

44 Mpg, I Miss That! — I drove this beast for 8 years and was sad I had to get rid of it, but it was at the point where it needed a mechanic to drive it because it needed tweaks here and there. It was my first car and spoiled me for gas mileage because I'll probably never find another car (besides a hybrid I guess) that will get 44 mpg after 15 years. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: gas mileage, I could reach every window roller while driving cuz the car was so small Cons: only 3 cylinders so when one wasn't working correctly, the car barely moved, haha |

My Geo Metro — Good gas mileage. . .the only nice thing I have to say about that car. Other than that it was 55 horse power of powder blue ugliness. Was supposed to use it for commuting to school but the transmission started to go after driving it there once. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: gas mileage Cons: every thing else |

It Is A Fun Car, And A Gas Saver. — I have the Geo and a 2007 Kia. I only use the Kia when I go on long trips, because it is more comfortable than the Geo, but the Geo is more fun, and the gas mileage is great. Owner for 16 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:15,000 |

Fast Lil Firefly. — These cars are great little machines! You can run them to the ground and they still keep coming back! One word summary...... Reliable... Though they aren't the fastest things on the block they still have enough spunk to beat cars like Mazda Percidia's...so "HA" to all you Mazda fans. Keep in mind that my '91 FireFly is only the three(3) cylinder non fuel injected. defiantly a babe magnet.. you gotta be proud to drive a small car.. no compensating for anything else like those boys with the big toys... Though you can't do much to them, you can still make them look like Honda Civic's for all those ricer fans. Also there is no top speed to these cars. The speedometer reads 140km/h, you don't have to be scared to put it past. The motor doesn't heat up or anything.. maybe it's the " high quality " building design that lets the hoods shake and let air in at 120km/h. I like to believe so.... a must buy for a first car, a 2nd car, a last car.
Pros:
GAS! RELIABLE! BABE MAGNETS!
Cons:
UNDER POWERED ON HILLS. NO MUSTANG. |
