These cars are awesome for gas mileage. Very reliable, minimal maintenance. Easy to work on and parts are plentiful. Make sure your life insurance is paid up before driving one though. If you are unlucky enough to get into a frontal collision, it's game over. Also, these cars are notorious for frame horn rusting. This effectively ends the cars service life since the control arm (A arm) bolts to it. When the rust has had it's effect, the control arm breaks free of the chassis which results in the CV axle breaking and loss of steering, thus rendering the car inoperable. If this happens at a high speed such as interstate travel, you are going to be at a complete loss of control. Check these areas of the frame for rust if you decide to buy one of these! Ive found when it comes to acceleration this car is about equal to a heavy truck loaded weighing 40 tonne with about 500 hp. Braking is fine (who needs that anyway, I have gears), and i have driven none other that handles so well in a parking lot. Shes needed a little tlc, but with 240 000k and still getting high forties for milage im not complaining,"too much". Appearance well you just have to appreciate her inner beauty, the way she beautifully can slip thru heavy traffic, almost like she has two wheels.Mar 05, 2009

Petit char économique (gaz, achat, réparations et assurances), en version 4 cylindres manuel 2 portes, ça se dégommait quand même assez bien durant les 2-3 premières vitesses. Pas de power-steering, ça se conduit comme un kart. Néanmoins je m'en ennuie à cause du poids plume et de la tranny manuelle. Très rouilleux des planchers. Ailes arrières à vérifier, si rouillées, possibilité de perdre une roue à cause d'un sub-frame atteint par le cancer (généralisé sur ces modèles). Aussi, évitez les versions 3 cylindres, ils ont tendance à surchauffer du cylindre du centre passé 150 000 km.Jan 10, 2009

Hmmmm what do I love about my geo... its amazing on gas hasn't needed a whole lot of repairs...not so much on performance, its got no balls what so ever. This car is a blast to drive, its got a 5 spd and its great. Thanks for listening! over all it is a wounderfull car but any car can be if you keep up the matinence. Yea mine needed alot of work done to it and still needs some done to it, but when im done it will be the best car ever. There is a 3cyl.(1.0 liter engine) and a 4 cyl.(1.3 liter engine). the 3 cyl. gets way better gas milage but it doesnt go as fast, and the 4 cyl. gets really good gas milage but it also goes faster. I just know that over all it is a really good car and you can fit lots of things in it even though it doesnt look like you can.Apr 10, 2008
