my first ride, very impressed very fast got pulled over alot so a word to parents looking to buy there kids a first car just dont get it red unless you wanna keep tabs on them or they have a job to pay the tickets they might get ...i got alotJun 17, 2012

performance is average. descent acceleration, good brakes and handling.
it hasn't had any real major repairs.
the appearance is average.
the gas mileage is about average. gets up to 25 mpg.

Reliable after 200k miles. Seats wearing out. Since owning it in 2005. I've
replaced fuel pump,ignition lock, drivers door hinge pin, fuel filter,and idle adjust
valve. Truck starts up every time. Has 4.3 litre motor so has plenty of power for
hauling everybody's junk. Oh yeah, since owning a pick up ... everybody wants to

Bought used in 2000. Needed repairs to clutch and distributor shaft. Since then has performed great with little maintenance save regular stuff. 4.3 with 5 speed is economical, powerful, and reliable. Won't give this one up easily.
Great value and Long Box has good capacity for most situations. Overall, it has cost very little to keep this one on the road. Dash layout is clear and easy to read. Love the extra shelf under the dash. Dec 14, 2009

accelerates pretty fast, brakes fast but locks up too easy and handles pretty good. its built strong and doesn't get stuck very easy 2x4ing (off roading) the paint is not good at all has spray paint on doors is propane so is cost very little to run. pretty fun drive...Aug 23, 2009

I have a problem with electrical gremlins. I was wondering if I would have to get an intake manifold from a 1988 305 motor, witch is the same year as the motor, to change the throtal body carb back to a normal carb. Or will any year of intake manifold still bolt up to the 1988 engine block. I heard somewhere that the intake plenums might not be in the same places. I can't just put a normal carb on this intake because the throtal body carb only has 3 bolts holding it on the motor, and not the 4 that a carb has.Please help me out as I don't have working weels, and it's hard to get around the big city without them.Sep 19, 2008

the brakes are a little weak in the rain and snow, the roof leaks when it rains or if i go through a car wash, it has a killer stereo system, has two jumpseats, has all red interior and exterior. Jul 07, 2008

I have a 1991 Gmc Sonoma i have has it for almost 2 years now and it is the best truck i have ever had i am actualy rebuilding it and new paint job the paint job i am having done looks just like the one the Dodge Rumble bee has i am putting a new box fenders roll bar push par racing seats GT steering wheel 4 in lift with a set of new 4x4 tires dont know the size i want yet lol a kicker sterio system and dual CD player this truck has balls it has the original engine in it but it has sum up grades i have a vortec turbo air intake and a brand new hood scoop on it new billet grill with strob lights in now this truck can go 0-60 in 4 sec. flat and with the new cherry bomb muffle on it, it sounds like a dream i put on a Glass Pack this 4x4 truck also has no problems climbing up steep hills and has no problem doing corners a 60 km so like i said this is the best truck ever and if you want a truck this is the truck you should get Jan 16, 2008

My sonoma has over 422,000 miles and still gets appx 19 mpg. It is a stick and still has the original clutch. The on demand 4x4 is the greatest I have ever used, Fords and Dodges don't even come close and I driven almost types, makes, and models. The motor has not had any work done to it except just simple maintenance (spark plugs, filters, oil change, etc). These miles are not just highway miles. I have owned 2 farms and it is used for that type work (hauling, towing, etc). I also use it to drive to the city for my job. it is the best vehicle I have ever ownedMar 13, 2007
