It's 6 cyl engine is capable, however, I'm used to the power of my Corvette. This is a great truck for hauling and in the snow and ice. I've never gotten stuck in the snow, it will climb up a wall if I let it. Nov 27, 2012

Good little truck, drifts when pavement is wet though. Fuel Mileage isn't great. The
V6 is nice, good starts. No serious issues and its a GM so parts are readily
available. It's great to drive. Tows with little effort, bent the bumper mount

I loved the looks of this vehicle and the 3rd door is convenient for added storage.I drove this for pleasure and did not rough it in the mud or snow.
It's got a wide turning radius so you need some room to turn around. Jan 20, 2012

My truck is great. I now have tinted headlight covers and window decals. I plan on buying new all black rims come spring. Its performance is good. I just wish it would shift a little quicker but it is a truck so its ok. Other than that i like it a lot.Oct 07, 2009

a very nice truck, but the fuel pump went out at 50k miles so did the starter and alternator at 70k, a head turner every where it goes. has a modified 2.2l when is quick on accelaration, cost of owership is pretty highAug 14, 2009

This truck was great, when it was released. The power from the engine, 4 door design, and room in the interior was top notch in 2000/01. However, once the new nissan, and toyota trucks started to show up this model was suddenly on the back burner. Overall this truck is very solid. The engine while short on power is reliable and the transmission shifts very smooth and has been reliable as well. The components such as the fuel system is horrible. Many have had the fuel gauge go out and spent hundreds trying to replace it without any luck. The truck has enough room to haul 5 people, gear and gets decent gas mileage for a cheaper alternative to nissan and toyota. Plus it is an american truck.Feb 18, 2009

i love it no hate on the sonoma's. fast great suspension. never had any problems. ran up to 600,000 km like nothing. always looked good. easy to find after market parts. when air bags were put in it drove like a dream. grinded pavement when slammed like butter.interior was easy to work on if doing fiberglass work.Oct 05, 2008

Kinda sweet still not done. Its power is good till you hit 4th gear then it bogs down. will roast one hella tire, drifted it onto the interstate the other day it was shibby. its stock though no one belives me cuz it will bark a tire shifting into 4thJul 20, 2008

Overall this is a good truck for the money. I would have gotten a Toyota or Nissan if I had the money but for now this truck will do. Compact bed big enough for most things that I need to haul. Pulled U-haul trailer across the country with no problems.May 02, 2008

The start went after less than 60k, Universal joints break easily, poil pressure problems. Terrible truck unless you only use it in the summer.Jan 22, 2008

It's a shame that they don't make them anymore. The new Colorado /Canyon style doesn't cut it. This horse is as reliable as they come. Although it's a four cylinder, what it lacks in power makes up in gas saving. Jan 13, 2008

I have had everything tested fuel timing I've even check all grounds and its getting spark but wont turn over it can crank all day and thats about it it quit running 2 days right after I had exhaust changed my wife said when she started it it sounded like a loud roar then while driving she lost power steering when she pulled over it died now wont start at all
