Good — It is a good car just have to figure out what is wrong with the stalling at stop lights. I hope to get it fixed soon...I have researched every post known to man or woman and I think I am ready to finalize my attempts in fixing solving it... Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: smooth down the road Cons: until the engine light comes on... ![]() Looking for a Used Lumina in your area?CarGurus has 23 nationwide Lumina listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Nice, Smooth, Roomy Ride That's Economical On Cost, Parts And Mpg. — I like everything it's just an classic now so a little more time consuming finding parts but they are out there thanks to AUTO ZONE and the MPG is awesome. You should also purchase the Chiltons Manual if you purchase one of these. Very helpful. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: The Lumina has gusto with a sleek look. Good fuel mileage and easy to find parts for. Great comfort with plenty of room for 6 not being extremely compacted. Nice size trunk and still easy to find parts for. Not too small and not too big and the ride is smooth like a Cadillac. Cons: It's at an age now that not many people will work on them. Especially if you have a ECM you need to replace because they don't have old enough machines to program them to your VIN; however, Autozone has one already programmed and ready to just plug and play. Otherwise no complaints really. |

Best Car I've Ever Owned! — Purchased this car used, in 1992 with 70,000 miles. Kept routine maintenance up and had little problems other than brakes explained above. Car ran well and I sold it to my brother with 200,000 miles on it. He used it as a work car as a union boilermaker and drove it 5 more years. Odometer broke, so don't really know how many total miles were put on it. He then sold it to our baby-brother who drove it 1 more year to his boilermaker jobs. It did take some maintenance with brakes, but held up quite well. It was the only car that went through all three of us that Mom and Dad never had a part in purchasing. Car still ran when it left the family, but the tranny had finally let go. Body was in good shape, but the driver's door had begun to come apart from use. Otherwise the body was good, with no corrosion. Great Car, It had the 3.1 v6. Our father purchased a 1993 model brand new and it held up for 155,000 miles before it left the family. Chevrolet did it right then. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Good balance of power, economy, and dependability Cons: Brakes poorly designed both front and rear. Rear failed to self adjust properly resulting in premature front wear. |

A Car To Love — I Loved This Car. Amazing Acceleration. Very nice, If some one hadn't side swiped it while my wife and I were asleep we would still own it. It was the car we used on our honey moon. Many hours of quality time spent with my wife traveling the USA Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Fast Dependable Large in interior but you don't feel it is large when driving. Cons: leaky sun roof but oh well |

1991 Chevy Lumina Euro — payed $400 for it, worth the money but not much more. it handles poorly and doesn't accelerate fast at all. fixing it is very cheap and usually easy. the stock speakers are surprisingly great. if you need a cheap car this isn't bad. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: the speakers, the durability, and price Cons: handling, speed, fuel economy |
