Its A Great Car...20 Years And Still Running. — Sat for 3 years without being started, 5 gallons of gas, a new battery and 8 new spark plugs and she fired right up. This car sat through 3 springs, summers, falls, and harsh northern michigan winters. Show me an american car that can sit for 3 years without being started once and fire up on the first try. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great Gas Mileage and very reliable. Cons: Window motors on all but sun-roof and driver side are shot. ![]() Looking for a Used Maxima in your area?CarGurus has 5,004 nationwide Maxima listings starting at $2,500. |

Best 1990 Beater — drives really good, can stop on a dime! only repaired the front struts, only starts rattling at 90mph. left fender has a small dent and inside is leather that is in good condition. bought for 500$ from a friend that drove it rough all the time and still works fine. gas is 20/26. nice to drive for being a beater Pros: roomy, pretty fast, solid, no rust, has 180,xxx miles and cost me only 500$ Cons: replaced the front struts, ok gas, and small oil leak |

Maintainance Cost — for a mommy wagon it isnt terrible at all... its plenty quick enough it'll outrun my buddies "extreme" its has been a little it of a money pit however. its gonna need a lot more work before its considered a real car lol Pros: quick Cons: expensive |

The 4dsc Sleeper — Was originally my winter beater, had a few randum stock parts laying around so I decided to turbo it. Ran a 14.1 last time it was at the track, but its condition has durastically changed since then. Awaiting refit and repairs. Pros: Roomy, good MPG (low30s) can be fun to drive, good in winter. Cons: Heavy, does not handle well, rust has spread like wildfire. |

Excellent Car Brand New Im Sure — I just happen to have gotten this car pre-beaten and its in pretty rough shape. Rust, broken parts, well and the fact that it is a nice car is mainly why i still love it and have. good performance and overall decent fuel economy. Pros: acceleration, its stick! (5 speed), sounds cool Cons: had to replace two (2!) struts in the front and the rear ones are leaking and ther is just plain old tons of rust (unbeknown st to the average looker) |

Both Boys Have Driven This, Now Its Our Spare — with 230K, its still going strong. Original engine and transaxel, leather seats in front are a mess, sunroof opens but doesnt slide, and the air has a leak, and the rear windows are permanently closed, but it is a solid car, and I wouldnt be afraid to drive anywhere. Pros: its paid for Cons: dents from the boys on all four corners and front fender, bad add on radio/cd combo, and poor gas milege |

Comfortable — I have had my car for 8 months now. It has 146,000 miles on it and runs pretty good. I have had a couple issues like a leak in the power steering fluid and overheating which was fixed with a new temperature sensor. Sometimes it has a hard time kicking into gear. The seating is very comfortable unlike new cars today. I wish it had a bit more pickup, but it is a 1990. I think it's held up pretty well. Owner for 0 years, 8 months |
