1990 Honda Accord Coupe LXReview

Even If It Had Been New, It Wasn't My Type Of Car — I'm sure this car had its better days, but I never liked it a bit. It was a hand-me- down rust bucket from my brother. It was a brown/tan color, rusted out, and dirty, but it got me to school throughout high school. The engine had a sensor issue where it pulsated at idle, and the brakes never had much pressure, even after bleeding them. I was very happy to get rid of this car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It should have gotten decent gas mileage, mine wasn't impressive, but i'm sure it did when it was new. Cons: There are much better $800 rust buckets out there ![]() Looking for a Used Accord Coupe in your area?CarGurus has 1,725 nationwide Accord Coupe listings starting at $2,340. |

It'll Get You There — I put 32k miles on in a year and a half. Only had to replace the muffler, and driver's side door latch seized shut (not an easy fix), on this 20 year old car. Otherwise a reliable car. Much quieter and smoother ride compared to what I am used to, but not as lively and fun either. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: dependable, affordable Cons: door latch stuck |

If U About Your Bread And Don't Care, Get That! — i bought mine for $500 even. I couldn't believe how much car I got for my money! It's ridiculous! The car runs perfect. All I had to do was put a new muffler in and I'm good. shoot.. There's hardly anything else to add to that. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: incredibly cheap to buy Cons: just looks old |

Old But Fun — 19 year old pos honda accord.. but light, fast and gets about 30 mpg. Only 112 k miles, which is good for a 19 year old car. The paint is fading and theres some rust damage. but its a sleeper and th cops wont be paying much attention to me ;) Pros: fast, fun to drive Cons: faded paint, rust |

Great Driver, Still Performs Well At High Speeds — I bought this car last year, it was the first year of this new body style, and the body style i like most. I also previously owned a four door, same year model before, sold it to buy a truck at the time, glad to steal this one away from a friend of mine, sorry Akil Pros: only three small dinks, interior in great shape, great future tuner, mods required Cons: needs new paint and aftermarket front spoiler, needs more room under the hood so i can put everything under there that I think it needs |

Great Car, Its A Honda — I bought this car for cheap and it is really easy to work with and add to it. Its a Honda so it will run great and last a long time. Dont underestamate it. Pros: Easy to work on Cons: needs the H22 V-Tech engine |

My First Car — My Accord was Redondo Red with the Ivory interior. Great looking, even at 10 years old. Drove well, sipped gas. The rear window seal leaked intermittently though, and the engine could have used an extra 20 horsepower. Overall a great car though. Pros: Styling, Fuel Economy, Handling, Comfort, Low Maintenance Cons: Some Faulty Interior Trim Pieces, Power Antenna Easily Jammed |

Practical — Handled well for the year. Got pretty good gas mileage (between 24-27 mpg usually). Car did show it's wear and tear, but it was a commuter car. Pros: Maneuverable, automatic was great for bay area traffic, and mileage. Cons: Key would get stuck in ignition, car would take longer than usual to shift into reverse, and driver window would get stuck. All expected on an older car. |
