This a very reliable truck I love my truck,I bought it used 2yrs ago and I truly don't like to drive anything other since chevy's are the best!!!! I can take my family shopping and we sit very comfortably. It truly is one of the best vehicles I've ever ownedOct 21, 2011

I love my Suburban! Wouldn't trade it for any other vehicle! It is dependable, She
can get up and go when she needs to and she stops when I tell her to! She hasn't
needed much work mechanically! Love the way it is designed just need a paint job!
Get pretty good gas mileage considering it is the size of a sherman tank :) and I

Awesome truck , I have 200810.0 miles and still running strong. Great engine 5.7, 18 miles to the gallon on highway. Great for hauling hockey players and gear all over the U.S. Fun to drive and good looking truck. Overall great truck.Jan 05, 2010

350ci small block it had good power and 4x4 but it was vary heavy so it sunk in mud but over all i do miss the truck it had tons of room three rows of seats and still room for 2 15in kickers and hifonics amp and bumpers from hell i wish i had a large yard i would have never sold it i just dont have room for all the toys Nov 08, 2009

Its not the fastes, but its got power like no other. It rides like a tank, but it gets through the tough stuff. Its only got a 350 in it, but the lower gearing gives it the torque it needs to get moving.Oct 22, 2009

So far the truck seems like a solid performer but I just recently purchased it. Its got some rust and rot but overall for a 20 year vehicle the rust is not so bad. More to come after the 200 mile trip to college.Aug 22, 2009

Well its a beast on gas, but on highway it is not bad. And the seats are definitely comfortable as hell. Subwoofers echo in the back and make it sound really good! Dual exhaust makes it sound pretty sweet, and it is like a rock.Jun 19, 2009

We bought this Suburban in El Centro, California on
my 39th birthday on our way to Michigan. It was
(and still is) a solid performer. It gets terrible gas
mileage (or should I say gallons to the mile) but out
performs every Ford I ever owned. It has
tremendous power and can cruise (with cruise
control) at 70 mph on the highway with an auto
transport trailer in tow, loaded with a 5500 pound
vehicle. No Ford I ever owned could do that. After
12 years, I'm still using it for a workhorse on the

Aside from normal problems associated with vehicles this Suburban has been extrememly reliable when I needed it most. The air conditioning isn't the best and it is showing signs of electrical problem with the power windows and the doors are out of alignment. Aug 30, 2007

I have owned it since 1990 and it has been nearly trouble free. Lots of dependability and a great utility truck for hauling just about anything which will fit into its back cargo area. Used in in Alaska for two years and it performed great though it is only a 2-wheel rear drive. Zero problems on the ice and snow!Aug 01, 2007

I love it.I had it lifted 4" the first time, didn't like it, so 6 months later, had it lifted 2" higher, so now it has a 6" lift, with 33's, when they wear out I think I'll put 35's. I don't know, I haven't fully decided yet. My next move is to change the gear ratio. But it takes $$$$$.Jul 14, 2007

should i Rebuild or buy a new transmission?
Need a little help understanding exactly what's going on with my transmission, seeing as every mechanic doesn't know how to explain it to me. I was driving it down the freeway and suddenly the engine won't accelerate. I let it slow down a bit, and gave it some more gas to see what would happen. As soon as I got it up to highway speeds, I heard something clunk and grind, and then a loud revving noise every time I stepped on the accelerator. I decided it was time to try a tranny flush and replace the filter and gasket. I drained my pan and it was just brown fluid hardly resembling tranny fluid.. At the bottom was maybe a cup of thick, mettalic grey sludge. I cleaned it all out, and got everything back together and let it idle for a while with the new fluid, but even after that it now won't kick into drive or reverse. Any help?
