Ford Pos — The Ford Festiva I had was a junker I purchased for $800 before going away to college so that I would have something to get around with. While it was excellent on gas, and was great for tooling around, it was pretty darn crappy in regards to performance. The thing had 5 gears but you couldn't touch 5th unless on the highway. Definitely a college kid crappy car.

Pros: Fuel Milage

Cons: Appearance

Penny Racer Without The Penny — Wasn't the best looking car, but wasn't the worst. It ran, and it was better than walking. A large semi or strong sneeze would make it switch lanes. small parts were always falling off of it, but it somehow stayed together. Somehow parts were expensive as nobody carried them, and were special order or dealer only. Gas milleage was great as a headwind would increase it and you could coast for miles. Lots of storage space as it was completely plastic an devoid of any sound proofing material.

Pros: Good gas mileage, especially with tailwind.

Cons: only slightly better looking than a yugo, sidewind autochanged lanes.

Fun Car To Take Out And Flip — My festiva used to get about 45 miles to the gallon. Great little car to run around with.. just do not expect to get there fast. As it gets older its a fun run around and beat it up car. And so long as you do not care how people look at you then if you keep it running it can be a good vehicle to keep in todays gas prices

Owner for 6 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:100

Pros: Good on gas, decent cargo space and cheep enough that anyone should be able to afford one.

Cons: Its a toss up as to if it is uglier than a VW vanagon or not.

Excellent For Just Getting Out And Going?! Great Little Car?! — Love the 5 speed stick but hate the carberator and vac-um issues of the 1988-1989 years. wish I could find a fuel injected 5 speed to put my fresh engine in! Bought this car for $1500 when we first got married (20 years ago). It got me through Paramedic school, and She through RN school. Now that we have 2 children who are getting older? My plan's are to restore it and finish giving it a make over worthy of the years service it has given us. When finished.... Now that we can??? Take my wife out to eat, and to movies in it. ;-)

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun like an adult sized Go-Kart, Excellent fuel millage (35+MPG), Tuns of possibility's, decent heater and AC, Added an Nice Pioneer stereo that I can connect to our I-Phone's, cheep Insurance, paid for, last tag this year!  "Can I get a Whoop-Whoop?" Honestly? I park my F-350 Crew-Cab Dully every chance I get just to enjoy driving this little fellow!

Cons: Really only good for 2 people and luggage....
