I like the Festiva for it economy but this one needs a lot of work. Plus, the fuel pump was a pain in the rear to replace. The tires are 12 inch and hard to find. This vehicle needs a paint job, brakes and other repairs. But, when it ran it was fun to drive.Apr 03, 2011

tiny, good on fuel, good runabout reliable motors are hard to find motor lasts into very high kilometers if you dont care about looks and want a reliable car. very easy to work on, maintance is cheep the one that came with 13" mags would be better you could find winter tires manufacture stopped making 12" winter tires which is great if you have a winter vehicle May 10, 2010

this 1.3 liter power house of horsepower gets me 40 mpg. running the piss out of it in the city. custom paint colors of red, gray, black, yellow, blue, and a little white really set off cars real dangerous side.Feb 06, 2008

how do I start a festiva that has been sitting for a long time?
I have recently changed out the starter and changed the fuel filter. When I bought the festiva I was told that the only problem was the starter. It has sat for about 2 years. I know that gas is bad. It will have to go as well. What other situations can I expect? I will change spark plugs, charge the battery and do an oil flush/change but I need to know if there is there anything else I am overlooking?

Ford Festiva WA 1992, stalling first thing in the morning.
My 1992 Ford Festiva WA runs great & is very reliable but has recently started stalling when at idle first thing in the morning until it warms up. If I drive off straight away it feels to me as if the auto choke isn't working. Can someone tell me how to test this & repair if necessary. I'm not terribly car motor savvy so directions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve
