Track Or Full Race Car With Safety At The Forefront, As Well As Fun To Drive Fast In Safety.. — I really like the power and the handling provided by this car! It handles better than a Spec Miata and is a LOT faster than an SM. It has the best of everything, and wins most races entered, though driver is 71 year old amateur.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Podium-winning race car in almost every race entered! Car professionally set up with the best of everything, needing nothing to race, and has won the last 4 races entered in class, and even finished on podium in a class higher than necessary in order to compete with cars having 100 h.p. more.

Cons: Minor blemishes Car looks, runs and handles great!

Porsche 944, A Classic Little Sports Car With A Lot Of Potential. — The overall appearance of the 944 seemed to be in the same category as the Dodge Daytona or Chrysler Conquest TSi of the 80's. These zippy little hatchbacks have been brought back to life in various forms. Everything from stock/turbo engines to LS1 V-8s have made these formidable track monsters. Once deemed the poor man's Porsche, it's not uncommon to see one leave a higher priced model in the dust.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: To start with, it's a Porsche. Great beginnings of a track car. Awesome gas mileage. Timeless looks.

Cons: Water pump and timing belt need to be changed together. Not as much power as one would like unless you have the turbo model.

Love It But Need More Power. — I think it is a stunning and unique looking car and I am pleased with it but I am into the automotive modification game so i have a tendency to go fast and want more power.I feel that the standard 944 like i have is a little slow compared to my other cars so I would like to increase its power and lighten in obviously.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: its agile.

    Cons: very little power.

1987 Porsche 944 — This sweet heart of a car has spawned so many manufacturers to copy it's styling you'll run out of fingers and toes counting how many. I bought mine sight unseen due to it's rare color combination and low miles. If you like to twist a wrench and have a place to tinker, this is the car for you. Easy and uncomplicated to maintain, you won't need a mechanics license to keep it on the road.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great styling, fuel economy, and aesthetics

Cons: Can't drive it all year long in the north east.

Porsche 944s — It is a fun car. I have owned it for less than a year but have put nearly 10,000miles on it. I drove it from Pittsburgh, PA to my new home in Myrtle Beach, SC! I would recommend this to anyone!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: The way it handles.

    Cons: More power!

Money Well Spent — Porsche pedigree all the way considered by many to be a good handling sports car back in the day because of the near 50/50 weight distributin pretty balance easy to drive super car 150 mph easy top speed very rewardinga and comfortable to drive

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: performance oriented

Cons: parts a little hard to find

The 944 Is A Cool Car, But Save Your Pennies For A 911 — The 944 is an unique Porsche but it has it's flaws. The cooling system looks like it was designed by the French. Oil and coolant are mortal enemies and should never co-mingle but only an o-ring separates the two in the oil cooler.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The 50/50 weight distribution is fantastic

Cons: The repair charges are outragious
