Good Cool Rig — My first car and reliable. Handles all conditions well. Love the room and power. Has good towing capability, and yes, it puts you in the cool crowd. The fuel economy sucks, but otherwise loved this rig. East to maintain and runs great int he winter.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pros reliable safe, roomy, low maintenance.

Cons: Fuel economy

Excelent Car If Your Dont Drive Long Distances Fun Offroad — perfomance: slow acceleration: very slow Braking:good handling: good for a cruiser built quality: simple and solid (great) yes its needed a few repairs due to age and maintenance. appearance is good for an old car. cost to run is not the best about 13 ltrs/100km. fun to drive offroad but on road very boring slow and very bumpy/stiff suspension

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: good solid reliable 4WD

Cons: bumpy and slow

Good Old Family Bus — great family truck plenty of room for the kids (8 seats) good solid off roader can have plenty of fun, lpg for a bit of economy, good highway car bit gutless round town but goes all right when you wind it up but what do you expect with 450000km's on the clock

Pros: space

Cons: brakes

The Best And Worst Car I Have Ever Owned — I bought this car from my autoshop late 2007. it was non-running. i rebuilt the carb, got it running. $2100 later it passed smog. Since then ive put in 3 different transmissions, an aussie locker in the rear end, and a 15" mtx sub that deafens me. overall, i love this truck. its big, loud, and not normal. Its not often you see these around, especially since gas is so much and 13mpg is a dream i wish could come true. But in reality, it gets 11 city, 12 highway. 0-60 in 28-32 seconds. does the quarter mile in 23.77 seconds at 53 mph. but it makes up for it off the road. great axle articulation for stock suspension. only has been stuck due to carelessness on my part, and its never let me down. if your lookin for a big, beefy truck that you can hang truck nuts from, this truck is for you. If your an environmentalist, you might want to turn away.

Pros: Its manly, it can not only drive over obstacles, but go through them. loads of fun to drive. doesnt mesh with current car stylings. stands out. loud. non-eco friendly. Torquie motor. excellent off road capability THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE

Cons: terribly slow-the sun goes down before it reaches 60 mph. Terrible fuel consumption- you can watch the fuel gauge decrease as you rev the engine. very heavy. rolls like a boat in turns. lots of maintenance. Vapor lock on hot days.

1985 Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Series 4WD Review
82ndjumper says:
One of the best go any were trucks made with a few modifications they will take you to, through, over any thing you want. I have owned six land cruisers and every one I put a small block chevy motor in, a very easy thing to do. It is 100 pounds lighter then original and more horse power. An over drive helps with highway mileage but not by much. I put a big winch on front and back, 3 inch lift, 42 gallon tank. Not a day goes by that someone does not give thumbs up or nice truck.
