My Dream Jetta — This is my dream 84 GLi. I never thought I'd get one in so great a shape. The body is 90% rust free; some surface spots, plus it was lowered and has a big bite underneath where it bottomed out. I have raised it back to stock height. It got through one of the worse NE winters in years with flying colors. This thing picks up really nicely, takes corners like a monster ( until it has to wear snows, then not so much!) and brakes like it should, handles like a dream! I absolutely love driving this car. The smokey color is rare, and when all washed up it is a real beauty.

Pros: standard transmission, uber power on pickup and takes over the road

Cons: electrics could use some tweaking,  tends to eat fuel when I lead foot it, but that's par for the course.

Little Jetta — I love this car... I love all MKII Jetta's and Golf's. What i cas about this car? Build quality is i think is good, Spare Parts cheap, and you can get it in every car part's shop. This car usefull, you can have fun with it, you can transport things and peoples, boot is big. Fuel consuption is not very big. Cool car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: All best :)

Cons: Old

If You Want A Drivers Car This Is Lotsa Fun With Huge Tunning Potential. — I love My Jetta GLI All the MK1 goodness of the rabbit tranfered into a jetta. this thing handles exceptionaly well (for being a quarter cewntury old) and its small size and personality made me fall in love with this thing and yes its a daily driver. the mileage is really good provided i keep my foot outa the throttle and braking is spot on.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its a Volkswagen, Its built in Germany, Its  a quarter Century old and it still hauls ass!

Cons: no A/C in the Vegas Heat!

One Of The Best Handling Older Front Wheel Drive Cars Next To The Rabbit Gti — it's black. it's a sedan. it looks like a polish mafia car. it's my baby. I bought it for 700 dollars. it made many trips back and forth to Chicago and returned highway mileage in excess of 37 mpg. It has noooooooo rust!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: it revs to 9000+ rpm stock bottom end.

Cons: it's 25 years old.

My First Car — It was wonderful. It sounded like a race car, but had no bite. It ran well when I took care of it. I ran it into the ground and didn't appreciate it, but it was wonderful.

Pros: Reliable.  Fun to drive.

Cons: Old.

Vw Jetta Glithe Boxy Yet Sporty Coupe From Wolfsburg — In 1984 - the last model year for mark 1 Golfs & Jettas - VW launched the Jetta GLi, a two-door coupe featuring jetronic fuel-injection, a 1.8 litre engine, stylish VW snowflake rims, and a black and tan leatherette interior.

Pros: lightweight, easy to modify, very stylish

Cons: limited interior space. general cons to do with older cars. I had two GLIs which shared no faults with each other.
