This is a cruising car. It has a big powerful engine, but because it was made in the 1980s it can be sluggish at times. And while it has a very classy design and wonderful build quality, it isn't much compared to the great sedans of the 1950s and 1960s. But if you are looking for an older, solid, roomy sedan that you can trust as a daily driver, you can't go wrong with an early 1980s Oldsmobile. 25 years after it was built it is still going strong, and every few months someone is knocking on my door asking if it is for sale. Don't expect anything incredible from this car, but rest assured it is comfortable, roomy, and has all the modern conveniences (A/C, power everything, and big comfortable seats that you won't find on a newer car). The only real problem is somewhat low fuel economy, but with the way I drive this isn't really a problem at all.Dec 16, 2010
