1984 Jeep WagoneerReview
Tazmanian Jeep Adventures — SOLD! I'm a classic vehicle woman all the way! This was my 1st experience with a Jeep and its truly my preference for on the road-off the road-thru hills and mountains in all kinds of weather! Utilized to commute for family concerns between St Louis, Mo & Knoxville, TN. Many great adventures around the US! 4 cylinder great on gas. Hearty sturdy vehicle, incredible engine, outstanding performance. Got a younger Jeep in my stable ;-)
Primary Use: Commuting to work
Pros: Bought December 1997, held in trust as new purchase, i'm 2nd owner: 4 cylinder 4speed(yes it is!) 4x4 4door, has 125,000 original miles on it now. Got this when i was running up and down the highway between Missouri and Tennessee with great gas mileage! Started no problem in all kinds of weather-could've plugged in the garage in winter but never used it. Folding back seat was great for hauling stuff around and gave my big dog room to get comfortable. So many adventures in all terrains in this TazmaniaJeep! It has a few TazmanianDevil details on steering wheel and windows; never put the Taz mud flaps on but still got em ;-) Had an electrical concern so i parked it and bought another car November 2006. March 2013 dropped a hot battery in it and she started right up strong-no sputter, no choke, minimal smoke. This Jeep won my heart! Like to drive a stick, prefer ole fashion roll up windows! Tazmania may yet run again!!
Cons: Looked in my trusty Haynes Repair Manual for advice but stopped driving it because it had something electrical i didn't want to mess with...finally got a great mechanic and it was so simple i really would've felt stupid if i wasn't a girl ;-) Everything was 1984 original when i got it, we replaced almost every mechanical part but the drive train-stuff had been on so long it was like it had grown together, real difficult getting those old bolts to let go! Wish i had found a trustworthy mechanic sooner!
