Reliable, Easy To Work On, Cheap Replacement Parts. No Frills = Low Cost. — Simple to start, easy on the wallet for insurance and gas. Nice to look at, really look forward to keeping this one for a long time running. Wife wont be seen in it...yet, but once it has the exhaust pipes and muffler installed, shouldn't have any problems having a coversation while driving around town.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Little Truck with plenty of bed room for small items for hauling.  Don't tow the family boat, and you are fine.  Shifts beautifully, 4-speed manual is much easier to handle than I remember learning 16 years ago.

Cons: Its and old, small engine, so it lacks a little on power.

It's Easier To Get In Tune With A Truck That Has A Carburetor. — I got up to 26.75 mpg by doing simple carburetor mods and maybe getting a boost from magnetic fuel treatment and a Jenny Cell aetheric energy generator and also a quantum coherence device and a Sophie Cell. Also messed with hydrogen cells with this vehicle, and I tried running it with crazy timing like they supposedly do with Joe Cells, of course with no luck. Also, treated this truck with Cerma ceramic metal treatment.

Pros: What a great classic 1980s bare bones carbureted small pickup.  It's so easy to work on any part of it and the parts are very cheap.  It seems pretty tough, and at least there are no electronic stuffs to break.

Cons: There's a good bit of road noise and transmission noise in the cabin.

Great Little Truck — Started right up with some carb cleaner after sitting for three years in the weather. Great little work truck. It has not had any major problems since it was bought brand new in 1984 by my father. I mean if someone keeps up on the maintanence and puts a little money in her shes going to last for years to come and be a great assett.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great work truck.

Cons: Gas Mileage

Great Truck — My first truck loved this truck, It was babied, used to carry my ATC from Simi Valley to Palm Desert often. At 90,000 miles it only needed a transmission seal, In 1991 it was totaled on the 118 freeway I was heart broken.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: reliable

Cons: That it's gone

Primary Use: Family transportation

Cons: not fast enough for the highway going up hill

My Amazing 1984 Chevy S-10 — I don't like that my truck doesn't have air conditionin, but for overall performance, my truck is amazing. It is a great truck to drive. It is a standard, which I am not too fond of, but the gas mileage is great, I think that it gets like 20-23 miles per gallon, so yeah, it is good. The paint is primer, so it is ready to be painted when I get the money. The interior is poor, but I spruced it up by adding seat covers, stick cover, steering wheel cover, and much more.

Pros: Awesome gas mileage

Cons: Poor interior

Best Truck We've Ever Owned! — We bought this new in 1984 and used it for nearly 20 years. It was a 4 speed and a work-horse. I don't know how many things we hauled it in over the years.

Pros: Long beds rock! I think it was a 7 & 1/2 foot bed and the room was great!

Cons: It was old, so we sold it and got the Impala.

Poo-brown Color — Had this truck for two years.. thought it was only a winter beater but drove it all year round.. Thing looked ugly, rust holes over the rear wheel wells were so bad that the box sides would Flap in the wind when drivin over 100kph.. But the rest was solid...

Pros: 2.8L Engine, all original, oil change twice a year..  never had anything done to it, but still kept going.. still is going, owned by a friends uncle in Smith Falls..

Cons: RUST
