The 911 is beyond anything I could even imagine. When looking at the price tag, it
is hard to justify all that money for something that is driven. Until you have driven
or even ridden in a Porsche (a good one) you cannot fathom all the detail, thought,
and fine tuning that goes into the car!Oct 24, 2013

I would change nothing on this car except upgrade radio. Car is fun to drive but must have a strong heart. Must be respective of the power and turbo lag. These cars seem to be appreciating over the last few years. Jul 10, 2012

there will be no other car like this . amazingly fast and reliable great acceleration braking and cornering . very confortab;e interior. A litle tricky to drive on wet surfaces . very costly on maintenance but still is very fun to drive.Feb 19, 2010

loved the car!! cool looking nice speed, braking a little bad on hills, nice blue color on the outside hot black leather on the inside. fun to drive on the high ways or open roads. needed oil change depending on how far you took it.Sep 13, 2009

I've owned several Porsches and, in my opinion, the '79 to '83 911 SC is the quintessential Porsche. It's powerful enough to push to the limit, but still light enough to toss around a twisty canyon with excellent driver feedback. I searched about three years for this one. It's a relatively rare Chiffon white with even more rare Black sport (Turbo) leather interior. Mostly stock, except for the tensioner/pop-off valve upgrade and a factory short shift added as well as springs that put it about 100mm lower than Euro, but 150mm higher than a typical track setup. 83' Porsche 911 Targa. Built for racing. I can get up to 50mph in first gear at only 5000RPM's. It handles like a dream. Great brakes as well. Built to dominate Ferrari's on track courses. Will take on any stock production car from the early 80's. Built more for track racing and tight corners than drag racing. Needs a few paint touchups but makes up for it in performance. Tough to keep up on maintenance simply because it's an older vehicle.Jul 28, 2008

i have oil coming ot of my exhaust and white smoke, what do i do?
i replaced an oil line from from the tank to the unit in the fender (passenger sie). I than added oil until i saw some on the dip stick. I started it up and drove a abot a mile to get it warmed to check the oil. I started to spit and sputter like it was out of gas, in the rear view i saw a huge smoke cloud. I shut it off, checked the oil and found it was to the top, and non was on the ground. I started up and took it home. I checked the oil it was still too high so i drained some off until it was right on the dip stick. Started and it made a smoke cloud again, this time i noticed oil coming out of the exhaust so i shut off and let it sit. After about two hours i strted it up again (it started right away) and pulled it in the garage. i later noticed a small pool of oil on the floor. So the question is, did a realy put in too much oil? If so what problems am i facing now?
