1983 Buick Skylark Review

1983 Buick Skylark — This car drives well. It is good quality and for the price I bought it has almost no problems. Everything in the car works great. The car is kind of fun to drive, it definately offers a different feed to the modern day driver.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very strong build. Doesn't break easily.

Cons: Nothing is hugely bad about this car.

1983 Buick Skylark Review

A Solid, Quick, Reliable Little Car, That Cant Be Beat For The Money. — my family used to own one, and i loved the car as a kid. so when i needed a new winter car and the opportunity came up to buy one, i did. $500 got me the car you see in the picture. what a steal! these x-body cars from general motors are solid reliable little cars, that for 1980's econo-boxes, arent too bad to look at, at least i think so. this skylark is a lot of fun to drive as it is a front wheel drive car witha potent 2.8 liter v-6 engine. and with that engine in this little car, it really moves out. the build quality is very good, considering mine in particular has survived over twenty years of living in chicago-land and has hardly any rust issues to speak of. its even comfy for a big, tall guy like me and it is a nice departure from the big boats that i am used to driving.

Pros: quick, fun to drive, and good on gas.

Cons: transmission work can be expensive when needed because the whole front end assembly
needs to be taken out.
