Rear end for 4x4
1978 GMC SERRIA GRANDA I have disconnected the rear drive shave because the rear end has went out . I still have the front drive shaft hooked up . I am having trouble finding a decent rear end to replace the bad one . Can I drive it with the front wheel drive part for a few days u till I get a rear end located ? 3.08 gears . Also thought about just putting a different geared rear end in it , then switching the front gears . What’s you though on that ?
