Super Sweet, Would Buy Another Given The Chance. — Performance - Half decent with the 350, better with the 327, good braking ability and excellent handling for '76. Build Quality - Exellent. Well built. Built like a tank. Appearance - Classic Monte Carlo styling with extremely accented fender curves. Cost of Ownership - About 17 MPG. Doesn't require excessive maintenance. Fun Factor - The most fun car to drive of any I own/ have owned.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Super fun, big car, awesone style.

Cons: Avoid this car if you don't like giant doors and miles of hood in front of you.

I Love It. I'd Own At Least 2 More If I Had The Money. — Build quality not exactly what it was prior to the seventies or after the seventies. With a smogged-out 350 you've only got about 170 hp to move over 4000 pounds. The car is a blast to drive, it looks good and gets looks wherever you go. A definite looker.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Body Styling

Cons: Smogged-out engine

It Topped Out At 100mph But Would Go To D In The Prndll, Probably Around 130mph. — Canary yellow with white Landau 1/4 vinyl top and interior with black carpet, dashboard and rear parcel deck. It had factory Landau wheels w/ center caps (rubber coated in mag style). there were only 2 in the area of a 20 mile radius, mine and a kid in Mcleansboro, IL.

Pros: It was a pretty fast car for a heavy car!

Cons: It only had a 2 barrel carb. I didn't really care for the color unless it was freshly washed and waxed!

Love The Ride Of The Big Land Yachts How They Glide Around Bends. — Cars this size usually don't have much style too them, but the Monte Carlo was a winner for GM up until they tried to reduce the size in 78 to save on gas. The smaller Monte's still have a place in the evolution of Monte Carlo styling, but the 2nd generation to me had it all. For those that owned them will never forget them.

Owner for 4 years, 6 months

Miles Driven per Year:1,500
