An Excellent Example Of Gm Dependability From The 1970's — I loved the simplistic mechanical nature of these mid-70's GM products. It runs and drives like a new car really. No bells and whistles to break down, just good old fashioned GM reliability. Very big and safe car to drive around in.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Low maintenance, stylish collectible classic

Cons: cold blooded carburetor in the winter!

1975 Chevrolet ImpalaReview

Late Great Chevy — Delivered with a 400 cui I guess it was a nice car as long as it lasted. Modified with a 454 LS6 it was just too much, top speed was insane. Easier to handle with a 350 cui so a swap was made. Medium reliable daily driver but very roomy and a nice appearance. Not that much fun but one of the last real chevys.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Interior space, huge trunk, performance with a 454"

Cons: Usual mpg and parking problems, poor handling on slippery roads.

My '75 — A true tank! You would not want to be in my way. Had power windows, AM/FM, AC and Rear Defogger. Rare options in a 1975 car. All original with 97,000 original miles when I purchased it. Reminded me of my dad's '74.

Pros: Heavy

Cons: Gas Mileage/Poor Handling

1975 Chevrolet Impala Review
My Uncle has a 1975 Impala and my Father had a 1976 Monte Carlo Landau which became my first car which we had in the family for 14 years since my Father ordered it and bought it brand new in the fall of 1975. One of the Best Chevys I have owned with no major problems. Should have kept It and restored it. I own and drive a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro 2LS which is better than the 76 Monte and more sportier. My Uncles 1975 Chevrolet Impala 4 DOOR pillared sedan was just as good looking as my Monte and Camaro. It drove and performed well just like my Monte and Camaro. The Impala is the Blue Collar and Poor Mans Cadillac. My Uncle who owned the Impala was a tobacco farmer who could afford to by a Cadillac but he found the Chevy had every option to offer on it like the Caddy for a more reasonable price. He found the Chevy was just as good looking as the Caddy and that was the reason he did not buy a Cadillac. He spent the money he saved from buying the Chevy over the Caddy on his families needs and on investing on his farm and house (home).
