Fun, Unique Style Icon Of A Car — The Ghia was a really fun car to own. Great looks and a classic feel that left me imagining what it might be like to drive a porsche 356 back in the day. After some fun modifications, the Ghia really turned some heads and I was proud to call her mine. Not fast by any sense, it has a 60hp motor and it shows, but somehow the body roll and the light weight of the car makes the most of it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Great looking, unique car

Cons: like any classic, not a practical car

My 1971 Karmann Ghia — With stock engine, acceleration is very weak, but with a few tricks well combined, like bigger pistons, cam, carb. and valves, you'll get twice the power. Solid built, good terminations, great looks and gas mileaage. I expect to have another 1971 coupe KG someday again.

Pros: Built quality, fun to drive.

    Cons: Underpowered

A Blast For A Poor Man's Porsche — Nothing, other than a little light on speed. A blast for a poor man's Porsche I've had this car now for a few years. Currently replacing the carpeting which has been a chore. The carpet is not sized properly and I have had to cut several pieces.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: VW reliability

    Cons: Small
