My 1970 Opel Gt At My 1971 High School Graduation. — Excellent style, economy, and fun to drive. At the time, it was much smaller than most everything out there. I liked the manually operated "flip" hidden headlights. Extraordinary. Having owned this one for about three years. It even proved to be quite good in the snow.

Pros: Back in 1971 ish this was a real show stopper.  "A little Corvette".  The style was unique.  The fuel economy was excellent.  A set of B.F. Goodrich "Lifesaver" radials, quite a new concept.  Exceptional road grip.  A left foot operated wiper and wash control, an excellent idea.

Cons: The Solex carberator.

A Great Project. — Cool and Old!!!! Turining out to be a good car. It's all fixed up at this point, with just one seat remaining to reupholster, and a small gremlin that drains the battery intermittently (about once a month).... Handling is great, and the cool factor makes the fact that it's an old car really beside the point!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Very Cool

Cons: Fixed up and running well!
