The Last True Lincoln Continental — The last and greatest of the Lincoln Continental was the series built between 1961 and 1969. I have owned a 1969 sedan, two 1964 sedans and a 1964 convertible. I loved them all for the same reasons: the build quality was just extraordinary, the quality of material exceptional. The knobs and dash pieces looked as if they were crafted by Tiffany & Company. Through 1969, Lincoln - as well as Cadillac - really were just a notch below Rolls Royce. Unfortunate how quickly that changed, with Lincoln never recovering. Once you get used to the size, they make great daily drivers and handle like a car half its size. The example in the 2006 photo above had 18,000 miles and was used at The 1964/65 World's Fair as a display vehicle.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Iconic Design. Incredible build quality. Comfortable. Powerful. Reliable...and those doors!

Cons: Can be challenge to parallel park until you get the hang of it.

Pros: She is truly a cruiser... When you get to about 70mph she just floats. Her design is classic; simple lines defined with stainless steel accents.

Cons: fuel economy ...11mpg.All wheel drum brakes run on a single line master,a little un-nerving at times.
