1990 Volvo 240 Reviews

This car may be old, it may take 3 days to get from 0-60, but it has lasted for ever. I mean it only has 190,000 miles on it and it still drives like it's new! It's expected to get at least another 190,000 on the odometer.

They look like a brick, handle like a brick, and stop like a brick. It is very comfortable to drive on the highway and great for trips and hauling people, animals, and gear.

They are relatively easy to maintain, but they do go through brakes quickly (because of their weight). They also don't have very powerful A/C systems..."You just sorta ride not hot in a 240!" I've heard that the 240 is still one of the most sought after classic Volvo's and they are really great cars.

High Mileage car that just kept on going. I simply got tired of maintaining too many cars for daily use. Opted to keep the big gas guzzler. More room for me to drive about in.

I love this car.  I have had so many memories in it.  Throwing crackers out the window on the
way to the pool is the most vivid.  It keeps running, past 100,000, past 200,000 and
hopefully much longer.  it is worth approx $84, so we won't be selling it any time soon.

for the most part the car has been dependable. it is fun to drive and gets great gas mileage. but those headlights are ugly. have over 300,000 miles and hope to get many more

This was the first car I drove in high school.  I have many fond memories of this car - smashing into parking lot walls to take advantage of the unpainted rubber bumpers, having to pound the radio because it wouldn't pick up radio stations otherwise, flooring the pedal and waiting about 3 seconds before it would decide to accelerate in a meek manner.
I drove it until the odometer hit 185,xxx.  Solid car!
