Ford Fusion History

The Ford Fusion, a successor to Ford's long-beloved Taurus family sedan, is Dearborn's latest attempt at bringing sexy back to the four-door suburban car.  Impressively enough, the Fusion's interior is almost as spacious as the Taurus, despite a much shorter overall length (it's based on the Mazda 6 chassis).  Not too shabby!

Exterior styling for the Fusion is unremarkable: big-shouldered but sleek, it's a halfback rather than a running back or tackle.  The interior styling is where the Fusion really shines, with clean design and high quality for the price.  Comfort is definitely the key.

The Ford Fusion is aimed at the mid-size family sedan niche.  If the Crown Victoria feels too big, but the Focus feels too small, the Ford Fusion might be just right for you.
