CarGurus' 2007 Volvo S60 Review

If you passed by the the S40 because you wanted a little more pep, then by all means give the S60 a test-drive: the base model, for example, boasts 40 more horses than the lowest-rung S40. But if cabin space was your reason for saying no to the S40, keep on saying no, because the difference in cabin space is negligible: the S60 is actually an inch lower in height and less than two inches longer and wider, although it does provide more hip room in both the front and back seats. Gas mileage comes in about the same at 21 city/30 highway.
All of the expected safety features are standard equipment - and we say expected as it pertains to Volvos, not cars in general. The Swedish car company puts the latest lifesaving features in every product, even the lowest-priced.
All S60 trims comes with driver and front passenger air bags (front and side-impact), inflatable side-curtains, side-impact protective beams, Dynamic Stability and Traction Control, daytime running lights, fog lights (including a rear one), a collapsible steering column, energy-absorbing interior, and whiplash-protection technology in the head restraints. The backseat head restraints can be folded forward when not in use to increase the driver's view through the rear window, alleviating a moderate blind-spot problem.
Among the included comfort and convenience amenities are cruise control, trip computer, driver information display, leather-wrapped steering wheel with remote audio controls, plush floor mats,  powered and heated rearview mirrors with driver memory and water-repellent glass. What else could you ask for on your commute?
