[Edit] Upgrades for the 2005 BMW 330i seemed to focus on comfort. The interior of the car more closely resembled BMW's 5-series than previous versions of the 3-series, and for the first time in the line's history the back seat was adult rated.
With prices in the $40,000 range, the BMW 330 is a luxury sports sedan and performs accordingly. The steering "is heavy but feels good" and the car had "superior grip" when compared with other vehicles in its class. Beyond that, the 330 has a strong tradition of high resale values, and the 2005 model seems unlikely to disappoint owners when it comes time for an upgrade.
